Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in New England

I love Maine's working waterfront and even though my stay was in the off season there was a wonderful glimpse into our fishing economy and the hard work it takes to keep it happening. The quality of light in the unit was amazing, and viewing the moon across the water was stunning. Easy to access all that the midcoast has to offer within an easy ride, to Rockland and Damariscotta and Boothbay and Wiscasset -- my favorite spots. Beautiful places nearby to hike and explore. Onsite staff people Debbie and Blair were wonderful; when I had an issue with the internet -- it was fixed quickly. Unit was well equipped for a person who loves to cook. Also having a bathtub in a waterfront apartment was a plus since many don't have them. Clean, comfortable, safe-feeling -- all one could want in a Maine coastal vacation. Wish I could have stayed longer but instead I'll just plan to go back again.

Susan was lovely, kindly offered to cook us breakfast and watch our dog while we went to dinner! The location of this bnb is hard to beat, amidst a charming town, accompanied by the sounds of birds chirping and the sights of fireflies and rolling hills. Was a welcome reprieve from our normal city life!

Amazing stay!! We needed a place at the last minute and Carolyn’s house was so worth it. I’m so grateful she accommodated us so last minute. Beautiful bedroom and amazing barroom, quiet neighborhood but not in the boonies! 10/10 recommend!

John was a lovely host, and the apartment was wonderful. The location was a great starting point from which to explore the surrounding area. Super peaceful, and the bed was so comfy. At night, you can see the stars through the skylights, which was great. The place had everything needed for a short stay, would definitely recommend!

We stayed at Wiz's place for 3 nights and felt right at home! Our stay was super pleasant, there are a lot of things to do in the area and we could have stayed a lot longer. The breakfast was such a nice little touch and the homemade goodies were very much appreciated! Thanks again for everything!!

VERY nice people and cute little cabin. we brought our kids and the sheet literally came up to the cabin. the propert is gorgeous. I would 100% recommend.

Jane and Paul are fantastic hosts! Our stay in the North Barn was incredible. Jane greeted us as we pulled up and gave us a wonderful tour. The barn is beautifully thought out and felt like a home, perfect for our time at MDI. Jane advised our teens to enjoy the little nook upstairs for some down time. Everyone loved the porch, where we could soak in the sun or enjoy cooler evenings without the bugs. Paul's color coded hikes (descriptions and maps) were invaluable. A welcome basket of provisions were waiting for us, so we didn't have to rush out to get any groceries for our hike the next day. We got great recommendations for food from Jane. Coffee Matters was a favorite breakfast place. If you choose to go to Town Hill Market, have cash on hand! The star was Beal's Lobster Pier in Southwest Harbor. The seafood was excellent and the onion rings were spot on. Jane and Paul, thank you for a memorable time on MDI! We loved the conversations and hope to be back soon!

We loved Susan's home. It was very cozy, exactly as advertised. Great proximity to downtown. We would recommend anyone to stay!

We had a wonderful stay in this peaceful airbnb. We loved the layout and the views of the forest. The king size bed was super comfortable and Brianna was accommodating of my husband's need for down-free bedding. The exposed beams from the original barn and the natural wood made the apartment warm and cozy, especially during a powerful rainstorm. Highly recommend visiting the tiny cemetery down the road!

We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend. We have two young children and this was the perfect couples getaway. The Airbnb was so quiet and cozy. We slept so peacefully after long hiking days. Sue is an amazing cook and breakfast was delicious! Early hikes and travel plans didn’t allow us to always eat in person, but Sue and Eric thoughtfully prepared delicious baked goods and fruit for us. They were quick with communication and extremely organized. Everything was very clean too. I would stay here again and hope to in the future when we are back to visit Acadia.

We had a great time staying at the Lacey Rose! I appreciated the direction communication from Denise and being in a space that was so thoughtfully decorated and cared for. Breakfast made for us at the time we requested was a huge bonus as well!

Jayne’s home is a beautiful retreat. The bedrooms are lovely, the setting is beautiful and she takes pride in her gardens and caring for her guests. She is a great host. This was our second stay with her and she always has repeat visits from guests. Thank you so much!

It was one of the best experiences I had with Airbnb, all thanks to Rebecca's kindness and predisposition. My husband and I were treated like kings. The house is beautiful, super cozy, with a great view and the neighborhood is very quiet. Perfect location to visit Newport (30 minutes by car). The breakfast prepared by Rebecca is great and her talks very interesting and enjoyable! She took the trouble to go and buy us delicious fresh strawberries. We will miss her! Hopefully we will be back soon!

Sad to be leaving. First morning I was awoken by the sounds of birds chitchatting and a warm inviting glow peeking through the windows. Open the French door and listen to the gentle rustling of leaves, the cool breeze flowing in. I could do this for longer. But it’s time to go back to reality. Thank you Joan for hosting. A joy to stay at Peter and Maurico's place! They were both kind, attentive, and accessible and the room and grounds were exactly as described. Also worthy of note that the shared bathrooms were impeccable. Great cozy place to recharge between taking advantage of the central location. I look forward to returning!

Sally has an immaculate and well taken care of house! We enjoyed staying and her place for our extended stay. We are so happy and pleased with all of the well appointed rooms and amenities. Very appreciative of all the care she provided. The morning routines with coffee and fresh breads were amazing!

Mary and Jim were great hosts. Mary in particular was hilarious; she shared many interesting stories with my friend and me. She took us on a mini tour of the grounds of her house which had magnificent views of the White Mountains all around. She gave us recommendations for short day hikes with great views. Cell reception is poor so keep your GPS on after you arrive. The house had a cozy, homey, welcoming vibe. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. We ate fresh eggs for breakfast from Mary’s hens. The best part of our trip were her dogs Dougal and Fergus who were very enthusiastic and playful, and the flock of hummingbirds that arrived in the late afternoon to drink from the feeder. 100% recommend staying here for a relaxing nature getaway from the city.

Lovely home, great location and friendly and helpful host. Felt more like a "hosted B&B or inn" rather than the more common experience I've had with Air B&B of the host being available but not a visible presence. If you are looking for a private, nonengaging experience, this might not be for you. However, if you enjoy meeting your host, we found Bob to be warm and cheery and he made us a lovely breakfast with excellent coffee. Rosy was away so we did not meet her, however, her decorating talents were much on display from the tableware to the linens and accoutrements, all of which made us feel like we were special guests.

Nice place to stay, very clean and friendly. Hosts are available and respond very quickly. The rooms are individually secured with number locks, a continental breakfast is available every morning, all you have to do is help yourself. The only point that could be disturbing but that coordinates very well is that there is only one bathroom to share for the three bedrooms. Otherwise everything is perfect, great value for money, I recommend it!

Our stay was short but sweet

We had a very comfortable stay here! The room was immaculate and the house was well situated. The home was well preserved and very charming. The only issue was that this place is not very accessible by transit, but there is parking available onsite.

We frequent Warick, NY often. The Warwick Inn was a delightful stay. The apartment style B & B included a large modern bathroom with a shower, laundry facilities, a kitchen with a variety of appliances, a quaint kitchen area, a small living room and a large bedroom. It is above a lovely restaurant with outdoor dining and a modern bar area. We could not hear the guests below. It was a perfect location and a perfect stay. It is located in the heart of Warwick, NY and close to several of the wineries. There are several restaurants and shopping within walking distance. It is truly a little hidden gem. Thanks to Gabriella, our host, she was able to secure a weekend for us in the country - last minute. Roseann Affinito

Comfy, clean home on the river with beautiful views from the rooms. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Home was ready for a large family stay. Highly recommend the home for a peaceful stay.

Loved every second of it! My cat and I went here for a time away from the city and was one of the best stays I’ve ever had. Breakfast was scrumptious, the room was even more beautiful in person, and the backyard was the highlight of the trip. Easy trip using the Metro-North, big thanks to Nicole for being flexible and lovely. Definitely will come back!
