Vacation rentals in Nam Ngum River

David's wife Sakhone just dropped us off in Luang Prabang. We rode with her. There is no way words can do justice to describe how friendly, kind, pleasant this couple is. And their three adorable girls became our grand kids. Their place was perfect for our trip. Sakhone gave a great tour of the plain of jars. She cooked fabulous vegetarian meals for us. David is a very good cook as well. Great, ACTUAL, filtered coffee, not the instant poison. The airport is being redone. We had to take a 10 hour car ride from Vientiane, and another 10 hour car ride to Luang Prabang. Even after that, it is Pukyo Guesthouse that made everything very much worthy. We stayed 4 nights and we could have easily stayed longer. Thank you for everything Sakhone, and David. Hope to see you in October.

Jun created a little paradise (and making it better and better). Amazing view and swims in the water. Within 10 minutes with free kajak into the village. I would highly recommendent this place if you wanna take some time to relax in Laos!!!

Super schöner Bungalow mit toller Aussicht auf den See. Kleine Anlage, dadurch viel Privatsphäre, Ruhe und maximale Entspannung. Kayaks können kostenlos genutzt werden. Unkomplizierter und schneller Check-in. Essen war sehr lecker (wir hatten Frühstück und Abendessen). Jun war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für den Rückweg hat er uns ein Taxi nach Vang Vieng organisiert. Für die Anreise empfehle ich ein Taxi (z.B. über die Loca App). Wir wollten erst mit dem Roller kommen, waren aber froh, dass wir es im Dunkeln nicht gemacht haben, weil die Straße teilweise sehr schlecht ist (viele Schlaglöcher). Die Anreise lohnt sich, wenn man Ruhe und Entspannung umgeben von schöner Natur sucht.

We had such a lovely time, this is an amazing place to stay. The host was very helpful and kind, everything was so easy and amazing. We could use kayaks everyday for free to go on the lake, there is a delicious restaurant there too. Thank you for having us and we will come back for sure !

We stayed with Jun for a week and had a very peaceful and calm escape. Watching sunrise/sunset out on the water in Kayaks provided with the property was so special! Jun is very chill and cool guy, he was more than happy to assist with anything we needed. It was great value for our time there and some fresh cooked meals too. The view on and around the property is just spectacular. We arrived on a bike, which allowed us to do day trips to Vang Vieng, but also escape the hustle and return back to this beautiful spot. Thank you for being an attentive, friendly and super kind host. And a special mention to Jun’s very calm and loving dogs, they felt like part of the family during our stay.
