It is a traditional inn that initially opened as an inbound accommodation facility. We are renovating the semi-open-air bath inside the storehouse and the water area. ■ Healing moss garden ■ There are three moss gardens: front garden, middle garden, and back garden, where well water flows everywhere, and a small stream flows between hand basins, bamboo screens, Japanese irises, and stepping stones, and in the pond, there are koi, medaka, tanago, and crayfish, and wild birds visit this biotope space. ■ Chick-in lounge (cafe/bar space), souvenir corner ■ You can drink authentic cocktails on the first floor of the main building. The space was designed by Muji Planning Co., Ltd., and we have a full range of Muji products such as furniture, appliances, interior design, and amenities. There is a small river and a nice old house of Japanese style next to the house .The tool of the barbecue is prepared. （Please bring an ignition agent and charcoal） it's comfortable in summer as the temperature is a few degrees lower than in the city. As of 2024, mobile phones have become much easier to connect to. （no wi-fi） The air conditioner was installed in 2022, but it is only on the first floor.Enjoy the natural air. There is a fan. Firewood isn't available from May as it will be warmer.

Ricefields, Rivers and Mountains

This house is a beautiful blend of traditional and modern making it convenient but also authentically Japanese. Mountains and ricefields are beside you, the Shimanto River can be heard. The ground floor is all yours. It's spacious with a large tatami sleeping room that can become two. The A/C is only in one room if the doors are closed. There is no central heating. Restaurants are within 10min or you can prepare local foods in your own equipped kitchen. It’s designed for long and short stays.

This house was designed mainly for foreigners.　

The owner, who lives outside the prefecture, uses this two-story old house as a vacation home. The house is decorated with paintings and furniture that evoke Japanese culture, aiming to create an extraordinary space. Wi-Fi is available. Parking is also available. Located in the mountains, public transportation is inconvenient, so please come by car if possible. The first floor is a living room, bathroom, toilet, and kitchen, while the second floor is a Tatami-style room with two bedrooms.

Embrace the “slow life.” The space is a renovated private bungalow next to our main house. Surrounded by trees and quiet, it's an oasis to unwind, unplug, have lazy breakfasts and nap in the hammock. For more active travelers, it's a good base to explore the area. We are 9 km from Shimanto City restaurants and shopping and an easy drive to activities on Shimanto River or the beach. We do require a 2-night minimum but highly encourage you to slow down and stay longer.
