Jean’s property was just as described. The setting is peaceful and the home is so charming with a perfect layout with the bedrooms located in opposite ends. The kitchen is well equipped and spotless. So is the rest of the house. Bring coffee! I particularly enjoyed the outside dining table, and the upper sun terrace. We didn’t have time to enjoy the pool, and it wasn’t warm enough for me. But it looked lovely. We had a bit of difficulty driving on the dirt road, but once at the house we opted to take Tuk Tuks to drive back and forth into town. Just remember that the ride back could be more expensive if you are coming back late. Jean offered valuable information regarding lake outings, restaurants, shops and so much more! She made us feel right at home. Although we were a bit shocked about the 5 min drive on the dirt road, in the end we had a wonderful time and loved the peaceful setting!

A peaceful oasis located a quick tuktuk ride from Panajachel. Matched the photos and description perfectly, and acted as a great home base for exploring the towns around Lake Atitlan. The terrace & hot tub were a lovely oasis, especially during sunrise and sunset. The owner coordinated a tuktuk transfer for us from Panajachel, then met us for check-in. They set up a few more for us during our stay, but we also found it quite easy once we were situated to hail one ourselves. We felt safe walking to Pana and Santa Caterina Palopó during the daytime, and took a tuktuk to the Pana ferry to visit San Pedro, San Juan and San Marco.

We had a great stay at Augustus’ place. Taking the path along the water, it’s 5 min walk to the main pedestrian street of San Marcos. Place was spotless, and the view and entryway patio is awesome. There were some water issues of first days, heat and pressure, we let Augustus know and he was able to resolve quickly. Thanks for a great stay!

Joshua’s home was a paradise getaway. The views of Lake Atitlan from almost every angle were captivating. The architecture of the villa was an art of its own. The house manager & his son were incredibly helpful, gracious, & much appreciated in every way! & what a lovely experience it was to be boat taxied into town and back. Beds were comfortable, home was clean, and kitchen came equipped with anything you could need. We hope to return at some point, a definite recommend.

Highly recommend staying here! The views are breathtaking and the space is comfy and clean. The WiFi worked well for virtual meetings. It’s a peaceful getaway that feels remote but is just a 10-minute ride outside of town.

This place exceeded our expectations, it was even more beautiful than the photos! The living space is spacious and breathtaking, with a stunning yard that offers an unobstructed view of the volcano. The kitchen was fantastic, and we loved spending our evenings cooking dinner and grilling on the barbecue. Every night, we used the temazcal (like a sauna), which made our stay even more special. Lesley and the groundskeeper were incredibly responsive, kind, and made us feel right at home. Lesley also shared local recommendations and kept us informed about daily events in San Marcos. An unforgettable stay, we wish we could have stayed longer!

The house, the lake, the views, the staff…all absolutely incredible! The house is ideally located within 5-10 mins walking or quick tuk tuk to San Marcos, and equipped with everything you need - pool, hottub, kayaks, loads of cooking supplies, more than enough towels etc. The rooms were huge, beds comfy and the caretakers available to help with anything and everything. The hosts were super responsive and the chef for hire cooked amazing meals. San Marcos has the cleanest water for swimming, and the national park with cliffs to jump or swim from is just a short walk or kayak away. The entire stay, just like the lake, was magical for our family of 5 (2 adults, 9 yo, two 7 yos) and not one we will ever forget!

The house is very beautiful. A lovely design and filled with beautiful touches and artwork. An amazing view off the veranda, and the gardens are relaxing and full of birds. We all enjoyed the clean pool very much too. Overall it was an amazing place to relax and recharge. There is a walk up to the local village of Santa Clara or tuk tuks to take you up the hill, and the village has a produce market on Saturdays. We also recommend CECAP for great meals with the best view, as well as fair trade traditional handicrafts. It was easy to get a boat at the public dock. It’s probably easiest to arrange your own driver and boat to the private dock as then it’s easy to contact them if they do not turn up or know where to go (problems we had through no fault of the host). Definitely shop in Pana as the shops are very small in Santa Clara. Be aware it was hazy every day for 6 days and apparently this is common in April (or other months too?) because of cane burning. A wonderful stay, perfect for resting, a quiet place without bothersome noises. The view is beautiful, it is about 15 minutes from Panajachel and a tuk tuk charges you 10Q per person to take you. You can go directly into the lake. It met our expectations. The restaurant's food was always delicious. Thank you!
