The Hobbit House on the Isle of Skye

The Hobbit house with its round door is close to the sea, the beach and the mountains. It has views of Broadford Bay and the islands of Raasay, Scalpay and Pabay. For return visitors, unfortunately a new house on the next croft now partially obscures the view of Beinn na Cailleach although you can still see the cairn where the Norse princess is buried. The Hobbit House is NOT suitable for pets. The first thing you should do is download the map from our photo gallery. Satnav doesn't work here!

Newly installed in 2021, the Cabin (often called a Storm Pod) is a self-contained luxury haven. Perched beside a small fresh-water loch and overlooking Loch Boisdale. It has a ¾ double bed, single bed and a fold-down bunk. Cooking facilities and a separate shower with WC. Outside there's a fenced courtyard with great Hebridean views for your enjoyment. Although there is sleeping for 4 available, the accommodation is more suited to couples or single occupancy.

The cabin was wonderful. Everything was super clean. We had an amazing view out of the window. We could charge our EV right by the home and they turn up the charging power then we needed it. The hosts are very friendly and thoughtful. All in all, one of the best Airbnb we ever stayed in.

We had a fantastic stay at Fiona’s cabin on a particularly sunny week in Skye! The cabin was beautifully decorated, comfortable and filled with every amenity you could need. Our favourite part of the cabin was the decking overlooking the bay. The location felt private and peaceful yet near to small shops and some lovely restaurants - we particularly enjoyed The Sprig. This was a great base to explore Skye for a few days.

My friend and I had a lovely stay in the wee cabin. The cottage is incredibly cute and nicely decorated. There is enough space, the bed is lovely and you have a beautiful view. Just waving the evening sun on the porch was really a gift. We ended our nice days there with a cup of tea with Marianne and her husband :) highly recommended, this place!

This is a lovely cottage set in a quiet, idyllic setting with nearby views to Portree and Old Man of Storr. It was very spacious for two and had all the amenities we needed for our two-night stay a week into our trip. The heated floors were a nice treat for chilly mornings and the kitchen was well stocked with a dishwasher and plenty of plates, glasses, and cutlery. We were treated to nice weather almost the whole time but it would have been a great space for staying dry and cozy during bad weather too. Hope to come back!
