Alice was so great with our baby and Elise (the cook) made delicious food for us and our baby. Anything tour related such as hiking Mount Bisoke ask Peterson. All of the staff went above and beyond to help us. Alice came to the Market with us to buy Rwandan imigongo (pictures) and Kitenge (traditional fabrics). All in all our group highly recommends staying at the Urugano Virunga Palace when you come to Musanze. :)

The cabin's exterior showcases a harmonious blend of wood and modern design. Lush greenery frames the entrance, with flowerbeds featuring vibrant blossoms. Large glass doors invite natural light, while the porch area offers seating with a stone pathway leading to the surroundings.

Pros: Very beautiful location with volcano views. Host was responsive and the rooms were comfortable. Cons: - difficult to locate and hard access after rains - no mosquito nets - a little awkward to stay in a nice cottage at the top of the hill with running water and electricity when the surrounding village is without

We LOVED our stay with Mickael, Rhita, Jean D'amour, Olivier and the rest of the team. They made us feel so at home in this beautiful location directly under the volcanoes. You couldn't ask for a better view, or better hospitality. Our experience was truly one we will remember for a lifetime, walking in nature. caves, visiting the museum and of course, climbing Gahinga (the smallest of the volcanoes). Despite being little, the hike was really challenging but we had an amazing time as we were joined by some members of the team along with the usual escort and our wonderful official guide Torero. Food was home-cooked and delicious, the company was second to none, creating a family atmosphere, and we can't wait to come back and challenge Oliver again to Igisoro. Also, cute dog.

This place was beyond beautiful! The yard is stunning and full of birds. Wonderful places to sit and eat outside. Chance is so nice and prepared a delicious breakfast with lettuce from the garden. So tranquil and yet just a short ways away from the action. A must stay!

Had an amazing stay. The place was spotless, cozy, and exactly as described. It’s in a quiet area, perfect for a good night’s sleep, yet close enough to everything—a short walk or a quick motorbike ride to restaurants and the bus station. The host and staff working there are super responsive and helpful. Tours can be arranged right there. Delicious breakfast provided. Would definitely recommend!

We had a pleasant stay in this spacious unit, and the rooftop view facing the border was a great bonus. However, there were a couple of issues worth mentioning. One of the kitchen drawers was broken before our arrival, yet we were charged for it after the inspection. Additionally, there was no soap provided, which was a bit surprising since most Airbnbs typically offer some essentials. Despite these minor setbacks, I would still recommend this place and would consider staying here again in the future.

We had a great time in Musanze while staying af Sanos place. He and his roommate are super chill and it was fun to hang out with them. They even shared some of their amazing cooking skills with us 😉 Furthermore they tried to help us with all our questions and for example connected us with someone for our trip to Bisoke. At the beginning there was a small mistake with the booking but we quickly could figure out a solution that made all of us happy and we really enjoyed our time there. For our next trip to Musanze we already know where to go and can definitely recommend this place!

It was great staying at Sano’s place. The local breakfast he served in the morning was a plus and super delicious too. He is friendly, always responsive and super helpful. Also, if you like to game, he has playstation with multiple games for you :)
