Double room with shared bathroom

Really great place to stay in the eastern part of Iceland. Even though there were so many rooms, the common areas were extremely clean and well organized. Only negative point - when the sun shines the rooms heat up to what feels like a sauna because of the big windows.
A low, yellow building is set against a backdrop of rugged cliffs and rolling hills. Two trees with autumn foliage are visible in the foreground, complementing the natural landscape. The structure features multiple windows, allowing for ample natural light.

Had a lovely stay here! Adorable hostel with gorgeous finishings which made it feel right at home. Had a separate bathroom and shower which is nice when staying in a hostel. Big kitchen with all the supplies needed to cook a delicious meal. Gorgeous surroundings, had a lovely breakfast/dinner sitting in the dining room looking out to the town/water. Loved our stay and definitely recommend!

Leafless Apartment

NicolaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Lovely spacious apartment in a quaint quiet town. We loved our stay here and wish it could have been for longer. The apartment had everything you could need and the rooms were large. We loved the location as well. Cute cafe / grocery store nearby that serves great coffee, muffins, fish and chips. The brewery has great beer too.

Twin Room -Hafaldan Harbour hostel

AmiRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Highly recommend staying here and staying in Seyðisfjörður in general - it’s a magical little town over the mountain pass. The hostel was an old dorm for women working in the fish industry in the 60s - the room was clean with an incredible view of the fjord and mountains. The common areas were warm and clean and colorful. Very full kitchen with a lot of care for being a shared space - clear signs and many amenities. Our host was really friendly while also giving us space and made a point to introduce himself, chat in passing, and came out to our car say goodbye. The walls are definitely thin as described so may be worth being earplugs if you have neighbors who are early risers like we did. Bathrooms have doors making them accessible and two showers and a washer dryer to pay per load. We walked into town and even the walk around the lagoon up to the musical dome was short and lovely. Great maps at ferry center. I wished we spent more time here and hope to return! Don’t pass this up
