The property is on the quiet side of the island in an area called the Ferry with endless stretches of clear, quiet waters. This area boasts some of the most incredible sand bars and beaches in the Bahamas. Take your entire party in our kayaks to explore the and bars and wildlife as you'll be a 15- minute kayak ride away from Moriah Cay/Harbour and the Lazy River Sand Flats. Even on windy days, the waters of the Ferry Harbour remain calm. Bring a picnic and park the kayaks on a sand bar to enjoy endless stretches of sandbars that emerge at low tide. Nearby Beaches: There are many amazing beaches nearby to the home such as Forbes Hill Beach, Tropic of Cancer Beach, and Pretty Molly Bay. All of these beaches are within 5 to 10 minutes of the home. It was the first time my family and I visited Long Island. We met Docky and Jill and they made us feel at home from the very beginning. Starting from the simplest details of providing, coffee, tea, bug spray, baby oil for mosquitoes to the more complex like taking time out to direct us everywhere on the entire island. The home is equipped with all of the basics even some cooking seasonings. The yard is big and has a beautiful huge tamarind trees. a nice gazebo, grill and the house hilltop view was spectacular. We had true privacy and the neighbors were quiet and kept to themselves. We never saw them..You definitely will need a car to get around especially to restaurants and grocery shopping. It’s located to the very northern tip of the island. The busiest settlement is 45 minutes to the south. We will be back again and will be delighted to book with Bonafide fishing house again. We didn’t do any fishing with Docky because of the rain. We came as visitors and left feeling like locals.

Cathy is a friendly, responsive, knowledgeable host. Check-in was easy. The house is clean and had all the amenities our family needed. We were steps from the beach and our kids loved the pool.

We had a truly wonderful time at Bill’s place. Bill met us at the house and gave us a tour . He is a very charming and knowledgeable host. The property is actually better than described and had everything that you could wish for. The house was spotless with very comfortable king size bed in the master bedroom and many lovely towels in the bathroom, which is a change from some of the Airbnbs we have stayed in previously. The views from the wrap around deck were stunning. We wholeheartedly recommend Bill’s place for anyone wishing to explore beautiful Long Island.

The White House was the perfect getaway for my family of 5. Located in Stella Maris, you have access to the beaches and the pool on site. Emma was friendly and responsive from the day of booking all the way to the departure day, making sure we were comfortable and were aware of the local attractions. Check in was easy and the house itself is very spacious with a well equipped kitchen and air conditioning throughout the house. The views from the second floor were also great. The kids room downstairs was an added bonus to have the kids play, watch TV and just relax. We really enjoyed our stay at the White House and definitely recommend this home when visiting Long Island.

The stay was enjoyable. The location was ideal for watch the sunrise over the ocean. The pool was clean and relaxing. Will definitely book again!

Janice's house was exactly what we were looking for--quiet, peaceful, gorgeous setting, ane comfortable beds. Janice was always responsive and recommended a great fishing guide (Yan Turnquest!) and restaurants (go to Max's conch bar and he will cook your fish). We walked on the beach for 5 hours one day and didn't see anyone! There is a beautiful cove just south of the house protected by the reef that is great for swimming. I highly recommend Janice's house--it has everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay where you can get away from it all.
