This lovely villa was built in the early 1900’s by the McCluggage Family, who operated sawmills in the area. Their endeavors included the construction of a tunnel, in 1924, at the rear of the property to provide access to timber on the Whangamomona Saddle where it still remains today. Mill House is a fully furnished, four bedroom/one bathroom home that comfortably sleeps eight. Our 1950s-style family bach has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Mōkau, year-round. Though "retro" in style, we pride ourselves on keeping it clean, tidy, and well-maintained. Enjoy meals and drinks on the deck in summer or cosy up by the fire in winter. Two bedrooms inside and a third in the sleepout accommodate up to 7 guests. The beach is only a short walk away. (Ideal 'home away from home' for Mt Messenger bypass and Awakino Gorge contractors too.)

MAX OCCUPANCY 2 Adults & 2 Children under 12 The Black Yurt is situated within Oakura. The surf beach, a number of cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store are within walking distance. Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.

Time to relax in a peaceful quiet location with beautiful views. A very spacious self-contained studio, set amongst gardens of the main house with young dairy stock all around.
