Cottage vacation rentals in Moerewa

River Cottage was such a gem! The surroundings were like a jungle, the grounds were beautiful and there was fun activities like board games and kayaks. We were even able to borrow a fishing pole and caught a fish! I enjoyed walking around the farm property and river area. My favorite part was access to a lookout tower off the deck. I made my latte each morning and climbed up there to enjoy it while watching and listening to all the birds. Book this place, it's magical!

Our time at the Shearer’s cottage was absolutely magical. My husband and I stayed with our three children for three nights. We were all utterly delighted when we walked in the door - lots of excited gasps from everyone - the surroundings are gorgeous, the property is thoughtfully appointed and spotlessly clean… far enough from the madding crowd to feel peaceful and secluded, yet still a very convenient drive to Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands. Ian and Anna were very friendly and communicative and made us feel totally welcome. Allow time to make the most of this beautiful place. The dawn chorus is glorious! Make sure you opt in for the spa by the river. We really hope we can visit again. Thank you so much Ian and Anna.

A great space with plenty of room for our weekend away of 5 ladies. comfortable beds, a bit chilly, but nicely set out and plenty of things to use for cooking your own meals

The bach was lovely, real kiwi bach also Toni was amazing to deal with and left clear instructions on how to get to the bach as well as checking ourselves in Had everything you possibly would need for a trip away I absolutely loved the place and such an awesome area! The beach would be perfect for kids or swimmers who aren't to confident as the waves aren't strong at all but also have the option of a short walk to the end of the beach to a big shallow area with very little to no waves I really recommend this little bach, I fell in love and definitely would stay again!!

Great spot on the hill with views down to the caves, well set up and the deck overlooking the fruit tree was really nice.

Fantastic views and space for the price! This is perfect for all types of occasions with a group of family or friends. The host was responsive and we were given clear instructions on everything regarding to the house, check in, directions, recycling, etc! Highly recommended!

The cottage was packed with character, you could imagine the fun families had there in the past. It was decorated to celebrate the history of the cottage and the area. The beds were comfortable, great laundry and bathroom. A wonderful social area. If you like a typical bach to stay in, this is perfect. Jo-Ann greeted us when we arrived and was very helpful. We will be back.

Easily one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had! So many thoughtful touches and extremely well equipped for our stay with our dog and baby which made our little trip away so lovely. Such a cute charming little stay and excellent value for money, we were also very happy we could book for just one night. The surrounding areas on the property are so peaceful and serene I just wish we had more time to enjoy it!

Jeremy & Andrea were helpful and friendly. We had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the beach, which was perfect for morning and evening walk One of the highlights was definitely the wood-fired pizza oven. It was such a fun we really enjoyed making pizzas and spending the evening outdoors

We loved our stay!! Chris is very friendly. She allowed us to feed her animals. My 4 year old enjoyed a lot at her farm. It is so close to Waipu Cove and Langs beach. Me and my 4 year old walk to Waipu cove and we enjoyed our little walk. Great Location!! Highly recommended!!

If it were possible we'd give this place 10 stars! You won't regret staying here, at your own private slice of Taupo Bay paradise. Such a beautiful little cottage by the beach — peaceful, charming, and full of character. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and you can hear the ocean from the doorstep! The place was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and super cosy, making it feel like a true home away from home. Sally and Kevin are such lovely hosts — warm, helpful, and respectful of your space. Whether you’re after beach walks, quiet mornings with a coffee, or just a break from the hustle, this cottage is the perfect escape. Would definitely come back!

We loved staying here, exactly what we needed, they even led our tamariki down to the creek to see the tuna! The house had everything and was absolutely sparkling. Great kitchen to cook in, and a generous friendly host.

Cute cottage very comfortable for 2 especially in the cooler months as main living area is small Great location with gorgeous 5 min walk into Russell , and 15 mins to the flagstaff hill , amazing views . James was generous with flexible check in and offered us a late check out . His list of suggestions were super helpful . Not a lot of sun ( end of May ) but a lovely bushy setting .

Perfect stay. We were a couple with a 5-year-old child. The cottage is perfectly equipped in all areas: bedding, kitchen utensils, dishes, bathroom, laundry, there are even some toys; everything is there. The environment is nice with a lovely garden. I highly recommend the cottage. Thank you

Absolutely lovely little cottage to stay for our two night stay. We enjoyed sitting on the back verandah and looking over the inlet. Enjoyed the heated floor and towel rack in the bathroom. A cosy lounge area with the most amazing book collection. Loved the kitchen and the Nespresso machine. A short walk or drive into town where you'll find the world famous Manganui Fish Shop and a handy supermarket. Also, had a great pizza at Jessies in the main street. Very picturesque little fishing village and would highly recommend. I would have liked to have found an information folder as was not sure what to do with the rubbish on our departure.

The home was accommodating and in a good location to explore with the Waterfront nearby and the amazing Quarry park as well. It was super quiet and if you just wanted to walk and not worry about driving then walking up the street to the damn and listening to the birds in the morning and seeing all the nature around then this was a good place for that as well. Andy was a sweet heart and really cared about what we needed and what he could do for us to make our visit a wonderful one. And it was.

Linda’s place is beautifully organised and very clean. Lovely starry nights there. I didn’t explore the surrounds as I was too busy helping set up for my sons wedding, etc. next time I’m in Rangitane I’ll visit her studio 🩵
