This is one of the few remaining traditional Japanese-style buildings in Hiroshima City, built 75 years ago, shortly after the war, in the Shoin-zukuri architectural style.It is a quiet environment just a step away from the main street, and there is a small Japanese-style garden where you can relax. There are also items that can only be found in the Mai House, such as a vase that partially melted from the heat of the Hiroshima atomic bomb on August 6, 1945, and photographs from about 100 years ago. The fixtures and glass panes date back more than 70 years, and the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese house is particularly evident in features such as the two gardens, the alcove, and the study. Currently, these items can only be obtained by placing orders with a limited number of artisans. Of the 5 rooms, 3 are tatami mat rooms, so please lay a futon on the tatami mat when you go to bed. Located in Minami-ku, Hiroshima City, you can get there on a single city train. About 20 minutes from the nearest tram stop ① to Hiroshima Station From the nearest station/stop ②, it takes about 20–30 minutes to get to the Peace Memorial Park, the Atomic Bomb Dome, and the city center. It is close to the Shinkansen, so there is noise and vibration every time you pass.It may not be suitable for those who are sensitive to sound. (It's quiet because it doesn't run from 11:40 PM to 6:20 AM) If you are staying with 2 people, you can have separate bedrooms.Or you can combine two single beds to make a double bed. Please let us know what you need. Free parking is located below the guest house, but please be careful as it is difficult to enter from the public road.
