The Pin Oak Bed and Breakfast

We were greeted right away and Walter made sure we got comfortably situated in the lovely, spacious Calvert room. The bed was very comfortable and as we were the only guests, we had the toasty bathrooms to ourselves. Breakfast was delicious and they observed our dietary needs. We would certainly return if our travels take up to the area again.

The Hambone Room

I was in town for a professional meeting in Hearne for 5 nights. Bill met me when i arrived and carried my bag up the stairs and gave me an overview of the building's history. It is a really cool historic building! My room was very large, with a sitting area and antiques that pertained to the history of the building. The room had interesting Texas history books to read. Bill left yummy breakfast treats for me daily, in a little breakfast nook outside my room in the hall. One day I had an issue with the lock on my room door, and Bill was quick to respond, coming immediately and replacing the lock while I went anrique shopping. There are some rooms still being remodeled, but that didn't interfere with my stay at all. Note there is no elevator, and the stairs are typical for this time period, so steep. So if you have trouble with stairs, request a 1st floor room. The yard is big with large trees, a gazebo, and picnic table you can use and you are only 3 blocks to antique shopping.

Quaint 1920's Basswood Cabin with Fireplace

A great rustic cabin with great scenery. Very friendly and informative host. The cabin has pretty much everything you need, just be mindful of the water. It does have a sulphur smell to it, so you might want to bring some extra water with you. The property is awesome, and the cabin is secluded and tucked away in the trees. There was no one else around for miles. Just the beautiful horses that came up to the cabin in the evenings. Great place to relax and get away. It’s definitely worth a stay in my book.

"Forest Gem: 2-Bed Cozy Retreat"

If you're looking for a place to "get away" and relax and unwind, this is the place. Remote enough to feel alone but close enough to interact IF needed/wanted. Great spot off the beaten path and a nice view, deck and an above ground pool. The night sky is also fantastic to see. Cabin has a HUGE room with projector TV and sound bar. The other room on the other side was nice and comfy and provided a great sleep. Spacious family room with open view of the dinning room and kitchen.

Jaime’s place is a quiet get away from the fast moving world!! For all Aggies, it’s a great location for games to avoid a lot of the traffic. Check with Jaime regarding what pets you might bring. He was responsive and friendly!!
