Ametapi

Guesthouse "Ametapi" located in the heart of Mestia is a quiet place in Svaneti.It is often referred to as the most important sight of that region, this is a house in the centre of which is located an 8th century AD castle. The castle is known for its view of the Svaneti mountains and for its previous owner Irakli Farjiani who drew paintings of the aforementioned view of the beautiful sights. The view of this Guesthouse is of high importance, due to giving you the ability to see one of the biggest and grandest mountains of Georgia (Ushba and Tetnuldi). Guesthouse offers the assets and commodities that many accomodations in Svaneti are unable to provide. The house is located in the 3 Givi Jafaridze Str. For visiting and renting this place you can always take a bus to Mestia from Tbilisi which is cheap and has a fixed timetable from 6 am to 8 pm or if you are feeling a little more adventurous you can take a train from Tbilisi to Zugdidi and from Zugdidi to Mestia with a bus which is also cheap and is available until 4 pm. If you really want to visit this place in a short amount of time you can take a plane from Tbilisi or Kutaisi to Mestia.

Only for my guests, I offer 10% discount on any local car tours(Ushguli, tetnuldi and etc.). Breakfast costs 25Gel per man and dinner 35Gel. Our dinner will be unforgettable for you, because you will taste: 100% natural, homemade and authentic meals. We also sell Svanish salt. Only for our guests Pick-up from Queen Tamari airport will be free.

Great host and a fun camp style hostel with wonderful views. Typical beds for the area but very nice bathrooms and nice shared kitchen with common fridge and stove top. It was difficult to locate at first. To get there walk down main street out of town until you pass Woodstock resturant on the left. Head down the hill and walk another 1/3 or so of a mile and turn left onto the fist paved road you come upon. Walk up the hill and take a left again onto a dirt road. Taco's is house #10 on the left about 3 houses up.

Great place to stay a few days. Rooms are spacious although it can be noisy at night due to its location.

Wer auf der Suche ist nach einer gemütlichen und vor allem sauberen Unterkunft, wer das authentische Leben einer georgischen Familie erleben möchte, wer selbst gekochtes, köstliches Essen und hausgemachten Wein schätzt ist hier genau richtig! :-) Danke für die schöne Zeit bei euch und eure Hilfe in jeder Angelegenheit. Wir kommen gerne wieder. PS: Sollte Jemand die "Köchin" vermissen, ist sie wohl mit uns auf dem Weg nach Deutschland ;-)

Haben uns in der Unterkunft direkt sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist alles sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und gestaltet. Es war sehr sauber, die Betten komfortabel, man hat die Möglichkeit draußen zu entspannen, und das Frühstück (gegen Aufpreis) war lecker. Da es etwas hellhörig können Ohrstöpsel evtl. hilfreich sein. Allgemein ist es allerdings sehr ruhig.

I really think this was one of my favorite places that I ever stayed! They are super friendly, welcoming, the room is clean and big, washing machine is working well, big garden. Mersin is super close - you can easily walk there. Just a great place. Great people. Highly recommended.
