Cabin vacation rentals in McCreary County

We enjoyed our stay! VERY CLEAN! Beautiful views. No complaints aside from having to pick up and drop off keys, and garbage not being taken care of for us. Most airbnbs do both, and we travel a lot. Again, minor inconveniences and not a huge deal. Just something to mention! We would love to come back and would spend our money here again. Thanks!

We planned this trip months in advance. Unfortunately a couple days before our trip a tornado went through the area. She immediately contacted us when she learned the power was out. We decided to go to the house and see if it had been restored but the power was still out. Megan went above and beyond to help us and was able to provide us another place to stay. We had a wheelchair bound family member with us so we were not easy to accommodate. We were not at this original location long but it was clean and as described. I know it would have been a great place to stay.

We had a great stay. It felt like home for 3 days. We swam at the pool enjoyed the hot tub, and walked down to the boat ramp and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. The hosts were very attentive.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at the cabin! The cabin was very clean and well taken care of. Beautiful scenery and very peaceful as well! Brandon went out of his way to ensure we were in the loop regarding potentially icy/weather and road conditions, and was very communicative and accommodating! We had a great experience and would definitely stay again!

We loved staying at the LRC3! Dianna was a wonderful host and our family had a great time. Our kids liked the wooded areas and seeing the wildlife. Our resort was in a very quiet and peaceful area with beautiful scenery. The restaurant at the resort also had good food and wonderful service. Definitely a fun stay in KY!

There were several amenities available that made the stay very convenient. Communicating through Airbnb was good enough before the trip, but it was better to message the owners directly (they responded quickly) once we had arrived. I would love to stay at this location again if we come back to the area for an extended stay.

Kim’s place was exactly what we needed for our last minute weekend getaway. Very peaceful, very comfortable, well-stocked and beautiful! The location was close the trails we wanted to hike and close to the cutest 50’s style dairy bar. Kim was very responsive and friendly and I would definitely go back!

second time here and it was just as, if not more, enjoyable than the last. I love the peace and tranquility of James and Lora's cabins. The river was running a bit high but i was still able to go to waters edge and enjoy it. it also made for some wonderful white noise.... the fireflies were out in masses and the clear, open sky is the perfect for stargazing. I recommend summer shoals to any and all who appreciate natures beauty and helpful, friendly hosts. i will be back :)

This cabin was an easy choice. Most importantly It’s pet friendly. The road the cabin sits on works perfectly for walking the dogs. There are two sides to the porch. The side with the grill and hot tub is completely screened in so my dogs were able to come out and join us without escaping. You can also enjoy the hot tub without all the bugs. The other side of the porch however is open to enjoy the fresh air and the sounds of the forests. You do not have a private pool, but the resort this cabin is located in offers three pools to use during your stay! Both times we visited the pool area we had it all to ourselves so it felt private.Last, and probably my favorite amenity, is the option to rent a golf cart to get around the resort in. The views you see driving up the mountain in the cart are astounding! Driving down is the fun part! You won’t regret booking this cabin! The owners are kind and helpful. They gave us info on several things to do in the area and made sure we were comfortable

Great location for hiking without having to drive out to a trail head. Creek is amazing! Absolutely beautiful. Had more accommodations than expected. So easy to locate and get supplies if needed. Loved our stay.

Beautiful place. Very cutesy. The hosts are very helpful as my dog had gotten free and ran off and they were friendly as he came running to them. Since their home is at the end of the driveway, anything we needed was easy to access. The host also made sure to check on things we might need due to our longer than usual stay. Evenings were so peaceful in the beauty of the secluded forest during out stay.

Beautiful home. Perfect for our family time together. Host was very pleasant and the communication was very good. Unfortunately, the home owner lives next door and was actively involved with our stay in her home. Day 1, she approached us very aggressively by yelling in the windows because the windows were open while the AC was running. I had been cooking in the oven and heated up the house. I turned on the AC, however, I didn’t get the windows shut before she came over with her phone in her hand as though she was recording. The host came to apologized and brought us cookies and ice cream, which was very nice. Unfortunately, the home owner made us feel very uncomfortable and set the tone for making us feel as though we were being watched throughout the rest of our stay. I can only assume the homeowner went to complain to the host otherwise, she wouldn’t have known what happened because I didn’t call the host to complain about her behavior.

Absolutely amazing host and beautiful place. you will never regret staying here and bringing your family as well as your dogs! James and Lora are absolutely the sweetest people you will ever meet.

Beautiful facility would have loved a fire pit however, an alarm sounded we called evolve was given a local number to call but no one answered or returned our call Was apprehensive due to the fact we didn’t know what type of alarm it was and couldn’t reach it to turn it off It went off after we started the ceiling fan thank goodness Also there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher which leaves me to wonder was the place actually cleaned before my arrival All in all the area was lovely quiet and charming and the cabin was very well stocked with anything you would need Would stay again.

Home was great for families. our kids had a great time.

We had the best time during our stay! The house came with everything that we needed. It was nice to see all the kid friendly accommodations as well- definitely good to know so we can come back with our kids!

Very accommodating. We arrived late in evening and realized we made a mistake on our booking, host were very responsive and helped us fix our mistake even though it was late in the evening. Property was clean and cozy! Store at resort area is so cute!

A wonderful place to get away and the kindest people run it. I recommend and will return!
