Picturesque, Historic Villa with Island Views

Gaze over stunning 180-degree views of islands on Lago Maggiore from the expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows of this lovely, 230-year-old rustic stone villa. Antique furnishings perfectly complement the historic architecture. The house is on 3 floors so a fair bit of walking up and down stairs is required. The main bedroom is on the upper floor and the 2nd bedroom (two single beds) and bathroom on the lowest floor. Ideal for couples and families but not for the elderly or groups of 4 adults.

The original dates back to around 1700 and was used as the village chapel; the renovation took place while maintaining the original style and materials as much as possible, compatible with modern living needs.

We rent a small, cozy studio for hikers, skiers and Switzerland fans. The apartment is located in the immediate vicinity of the valley station of the Matterhorn glacier paradise / Schwarzsee in a very well-kept house. The city center can be reached quickly in 10 minutes on foot.
