Cabin vacation rentals in Matamata-Piako District

Our stay was awesome! lovely for a good break away from the busy auckland life. The pool & amenities were just as they were on the pictures! dont forget insect repellant as the mosquitoes will eat you alive 😂 the only thing I can fault is the cabin rooms were hot at night but because of the mosquitoes we couldnt leave the windows open however they did supply a small fan wasn't much help though. otherwise I would highly recommend staying here 😊

We had never been to Sapphire Springs before and were lucky to find availability for two nights at the end of our holiday. The facilities were excellent, my daughter loved the play equipment, trampoline and mini golf, and the pools and bush walks were fabulous. One thing we noticed was how happy and friendly all the staff were. It really makes a difference to the experience when the staff are like that. We’ll definitely be back!

Clean and warm camp ground. Lovely surroundings set in peaceful bush, and I also took full advantage of the hot pools. Reception was very helpful and welcoming and I was grateful as I didn't read all the terms and conditions of bringing your own bedding( I'm travelling from overseas so didn't bring bed linen) and coin activated showers and helped me out that way. I would stay here again, and it would be a really nice place to bring a young family as the pools; stream, ducks and complimentary mini golf would be ideal for young children. It would be great once the fibre cables are in and there is better reception and / or WiFi also but I knew there wasn't any before I arrived so that was fine. I would recommend this idyllic place for families 10/10

Thank you so much for hosting us and our multiple requests through the period of our stay, very helpful, friendly and easy to get ahold of throughout the process. We absolutely loved our time tucked away in our own private little nook, I was finally able to have my busy real estate partner escape the busyness of constant communication. Very close to all the little bays and areas we wanted to explore, with a romantic quaint vibe and the heatpump was perfect given the crazy weather we had the first night! Thank you again, definitely will consider coming back in future if we explore the area again.

Beautiful spot to unwind and soak in the outdoors. So magical at night with the fire, bathtub and lights strung up in the trees. Responsive and helpful host, great clear communication. Well stocked kitchen. Everything you need.

Plenty of home comforts in a serene riverside setting. We thoroughly enjoyed the unique experience with the wood-fired hot tub. The smell of the timber used inside was a treat and the indoor fire did a great job of keeping us warm despite it being a heavy frost. All in all a cosy and grounding place that we would love to come back to, thanks!

We already miss falling asleep to a crackling fire and waking up to mist in the hills and the most beautiful birdsong. Gary and Stacey have created a truly magical place. The space is so thoughtfully appointed, tidy, warm and cozy. It was the perfect escape for us and our dog Kia, who had a wonderful time exploring the area and watching the wandering pukeko. We already can't wait to go back. Thank you both for an unforgetable experience.

Great place to stay :) Shona was lovely and accomadating, would reccomend if you need a place to stay in Cambridge.

We really enjoyed staying here. Check in was easy and flexible, the BnB was beautiful, clean, and very cozy. Denver and Diane are great hosts with prompt and clear communication. We stayed during a cyclone, to which we were very kindly offered an extended stay for no cost. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Journey’s Rest was amazing. You can tell a lot of care was put into making it a peaceful and comfortable experience. Philip was very responsive and set us up to be able to cook on the fire. The place was very clean and well put together and there were beautiful views. Highly recommend.
