Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Matagorda County

Me and my family loved this place. Has a dock you can go fishing on day or night and the beach is right down the road you can’t ask for much more. We will definitely be booking again with Don. I would recommend them five out of five.

This is our second time staying at the house and it was just as amazing at two years ago. I loved watching the sunrise on the front deck with coffee (they have normal coffee pot and Kurig). The beds were comfortable. The house was very clean. Carla was helpful and responsive with questions. We also loved the sunsets from the back deck. There were tons of mosquitos, so be prepared with OFF!!

Wonderful and peaceful! I love the deck and the night sky was beautiful. We tried fishing but were not lucky, however, we did see dolphins! That was great. Easy to park close to the beach, just 1/2 mile away. Bed was comfortable and the window unit kept us cool at night. We would stay again!

this stay was beautiful. the canal was so peaceful, me and my hubby fished off of their deck, had a few drinks - later relaxed in the hottub, and went upstairs to hangout by the indoor fireplace while watching our favorite show. it was very relaxing, much needed weekend! would definitely recommend and come back! The restaurant 1 mile down the road (bayside bar and grill), was also very good!

Second Summer to stay at Wave on Wave! The pool and fishing dock are just what we are always excited about! Fishing was exceptionally well this year. Fast and friendly communication was given when needed. We cannot wait to return!

Perfect peaceful spot right next to the water. Caught a lot of fish and Derrick was quick to answer whenever I had a question!

Salty Dog was responsive to any and all questions and concerns that we had even before our arrival. Place was neat and clean, and we had a great time as a family by the pool making memories. There are lots of pool toys in the garage to choose from. Highly recommended, great location, and we will be back again.

My guests and I fell in love this this property with it's beautiful, quiet property and spacious and comfortable home. Both the property and home offer many amenities and opportunities to stay busy, explore, and engage with other guests or enjoy time alone reading, thinking, writing, or (I don't recommend this, but did it anyway) working. Last but not least, the 5-star customer service of Naun, Juan, and Alex was timely, friendly, and met or exceeded our needs. After two weeks at this casa bendita, we have decided we will stop our several years of exploring Texas through vacation rentals and make it our family's vacation spot. Thank you, Alex, for sharing your home with us. We are truly grateful.

Patti made all of the difference in the world. It was like staying with family. Anything we needed, she was accommodating. Her cabins are very close to the marina, matagorda outfitters, Stanley’s and Cassidy’s. What else do you need. Highly recommended!

The place was decorated more up to date than the pictures showed. It's very nice and conveniently located. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans. The pool was very nice as well. Over all a great place to stay. It's in a gated community so you don't have to worry about much. It was nice and quiet. The host was very nice and easy to communicate with as well!

It was a wonderful place to stay! Lots of room! It had everything we needed! We stay here at least once a year when visiting Palacios! Great place with everything we needed.

Raymond’s place was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING… THE HOUSE LITERALLY EXCEEDED our Expectations.. We didn’t wanna go home .. All of our guest LOVED the home .. Raymond is also a Great communicator and One of the best Host I have ever dealt with.. We will be back ASAP .. Thanks Again Ray ❤️❤️

We love staying in Matagorda, this was our first time staying here. Loved the house and location. House was easy to find, clean, loaded with what we needed for the stay and excellent views of the beach! We will definitely be staying again in the spring!

I booked this house as a graduation gift for my husband so he could go fishing with his buddies, and it couldn't have been better! Not a single complaint from the group—the guys absolutely loved it. They had a great time relaxing, hanging out, and enjoying the space. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and most importantly, they all slept comfortably. The location was perfect—close to the fishing, food, and fun. Thanks again for helping make their trip one they’ll never forget!

The stay was great and my dogs thoroughly enjoyed running on the property. For a weekend in the country, this is a good place to call home base!

The house was great. Downstairs bunk room was perfect for kids. Parking, patio and dock were all great! We brought supplies but the house was very well stocked with anything we forgot!

We couldn’t be happier with our stay at Amanda’s place. The place is nestled on the quiet and peaceful San Bernard River. The views were great. Plenty of areas to enjoy your morning coffee, on either the deck of the house or the deck down by the river. The house has so much to offer, from lots of sleeping accommodations to a fun pool and game room. Amanda was super responsive and flexible with a coupe requests. Can’t say enough good things about her and her place. We will definitely be back.

This was a great alternative instead of overnight camping in a tent. Great for an overnight get away. Had so much fun relaxing around the firepit. We will definitely consider renting again!

Bring some bait and enjoy! The Honey Hole has been on of my favorite stays and I am very glad we booked for a recent birthday celebration. Mitch's home is surprisingly spacious - both inside and out. We had a great time playing games inside, lounging around during the day, throwing the ball around in the afternoons, and fishing in the evenings and early mornings. Mitch is an awesome host and is just a quick message away! Will definitely come back for another stay in the future!
