We love that our home has all the qualities of a classic cabin in the woods — an A-frame shape, wood-plank ceilings, forest views from every room — while still appealing to the sensibilities of modern, urban travelers. This is the perfect spot to get a little dose of summer camp nostalgia, while keeping every modern comfort close at hand. Barbecue on the porch or gather around the outdoor fire pit in the summer and into the fall. In the winter, get cozy in front of the wood-burning stove and take in the snowy woodland landscape. Guests can access the entire house and two-acre property. I'm available to answer any questions via phone, text or email at any time. Please note, my primary residence is in New York City and I will not be on site at the house. The cabin is located in the hamlet of Marbletown, at the southern edge of Catskill Park. The property is nestled between the many farms, orchards, and preserves of the Rondout Valley and the protected mountains and woodlands of the Catskills. The Trailways bus stop with service from Port Authority is located in Rosendale, about 20 minutes from the house, but you'll need a car to get around once you're up here. Amtrak trains stop at Rhinecliff, just across the Hudson, about 35 minutes from the house.

Me and a few friends stayed in Shane's place for a weekend getaway and we had an amazing time. The house was beautiful and the area was beautiful. We were initially a bit wary of the house due to the previous comments about bugs in the house but we didn't encounter any and the house was totally clean. It's a good distance out of town to feel secluded and part of the environment but not too far where it was inconvenient if we needed to run into town. Definitely recommend a stay, Shane was very communicative and easy to work with and made sure our trip went off hitch free

We loved our stay at the schoolhouse…it is a cool place! Rooms are spacious and ceilings are high, but felt homey. Large windows bring the outside in, nice when you get some chilly, rainy days like we did. Needed to take the chill off some of the time and the living space warmed up quickly with the split element. Amenities all good, beds comfortable, and easy hosts to work with. Central to local attractions, especially hiking. We particularly liked the breakfast nook overlooking the back and listening to the local ravens chatting away. Enjoyed patio and preserve treeline - nice spot for birds. We would stay here again, for sure.

Absolutely loved this spot! Super cute cottage like, very clean, just enough space and beautiful front view! Walking distance to a very nice grocer. If you don’t have a car, Ubers can take 10-15 minutes to get to you so keep that in mind but you are about a mile from the main strip (walkable on a good weather day) and it the BEST downtown are. Full of shops, unique finds and great restaurants. Will be booking again for sure!

This was the absolute best choice ever! I am coming back and staying for an entire week this summer to explore further some great places we found and to enjoy this adorable apartment! The beds were the most comfortable I've ever experienced in an Airbnb and I've stayed at many. I slept soundlessly, which is rare for me! The snacks and attention to detail was great. The apartment was so comfortable! I felt right at home. It was easy to make excellent meals in the well equipped kitchen - we had everything we needed and the pots, pans and knives are all brand new, again much better than other Airbnbs I've visited. Sitting on the cafe chairs looking out at the beautiful backyard and woods was so incredibly peaceful and serene. We saw deer grazing and soaked in the sweet and natural landscape while we ate breakfast and coffee. What a fantastic stay! I didn't want to leave. Our time here was way too short. I definitely will be back! Don't overthink it, just book it!

Kaz & Nat’s place was beautiful, serene, and cozy— perfect for a few days in Kingston! Super cute and spacious inside, with flourishing plants and thoughtful amenities. The parking spot was a huge benefit, and the space was larger than I had anticipated! The only thing that would make it even better is if there were laundry machines available, but visiting for only a couple days that wasn’t a huge problem. On a gorgeous tree-lined block, close to shopping and delicious restaurants, we would definitely return when visiting the area. Thank y’all again!

This is my second stay at Daniel’s, and it was just as good as the first! I love the location of his place in relation to the mountain. It’s a quick walk up the parking lot to the trails/lifts. Most importantly, my pups feel right at home, and they know his place now! His home is always clean and the linens/towels always smell fresh! I told him I will be coming back multiple times throughout the snow season to go boarding. He is very responsive and helpful and would go out of his way if need be! Overall, 12/10 recommend Daniel’s spot!

5 stars, 5 stars, 5 stars!! I would just like to say I’ve stayed in many Air B&Bs before, and this one is by far one of my favorites. The hosts are absolutely amazing. They are proactive in responding and really want you be be comfortable and making sure you have no issues. The price was 100% worth it. I love that they included board games as a part of the space, such a nice touch. The bathrooms and bedrooms were also so clean, and we enjoyed our stay. Robert's place was a delight! Spotless with many thoughtful touches. We went for a spring snowboard trip to Hunter and didn't try to walk to the lifts (due to the conditions), but the drive was only a few minutes and super convenient. Robert was very responsive and friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The property is great with a lovely deck and well equipped. Highly recommend this property; we hope to be back!
