Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Marathon County

Exactly what we wanted for a father/son/uncle/nephew ski weekend at Granite Peak. Short drive to the resort and still close to the restaurants in town.

I would definitely stay there again. Wonderful home close to several towns and activities. Very clean and Ken and Sue are so responsive to anything you need, even things you don’t think you need like starting a fire in the fire pit! Highly recommend!

Stay was great! The kitchen had everything you could need and the space was clean. Good location and super close drive to skiing at Granite Peak. We accidentally forgot some stuff at the Airbnb and Janet was super flexible with getting the stuff!

Our trip to Wausau was spectacular and made even better by this great place to stay! It was accommodating for our whole family and we were so thankful that the house was clean and close to downtown. Would definitely recommend and stay again!!

Beautiful, spacious, child-proof home. Love the open concept. Very clean. Perfect for outdoor adventures on a beautiful lake.

The house is amazing! There is everything we needed, even more. They answered all our questions very quickly and explained to smallest details. The view from master’s bedroom on lake is so pleasurable. Definitely recommend, would like to visit one more time!

Great spot, would highly recommend.

We were in Wausau for a baseball tournament and wanted a private place for the kids to rest before the tournament the next morning. From booking to arriving everything was smooth and easy. I had to ask the day before to bring our grandson because when we booked it was only the 3 of us. There was no problem with the adjustment. We enjoyed the yard while there and made pizza over the fire. They had a grate to cook on over the fire as well as roasting sticks for hot dogs, s’mores and more. Although our time at the site was short we enjoyed ourselves.

My first time using airbnb, and I was surprised how easy and simple the whole process was. The host had very simple instructions, the place was exactly how it was described, and she was very nice and responsive to any questions I had. Overall, the experience was excellent!

Feels like home away from home. The studio was very clean, modern and bright. Have the option of garage parking, which came in very handy during the winter. Would highly recommend!

We had the most amazing family weekend getaway at the cabin! It was a great spot for our group of 10– plenty of space for everyone, yet cozy and inviting. The cabin was spotless and well stocked with thoughtful amenities. The kids especially loved the game room and backyard— it kept them entertained. We also made great use of the pedal boat and pond for fishing. Communication with the host was excellent! Everything from booking to check out went smoothly. If you’re looking for a clean, family friendly cabin with great outdoor space and entertainment options, this place is it!

Our stay at Owl Ridge was great. It is so peaceful. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in a place that is private -or a “staycation” away from home- this is a great place to stay. There are also plenty of restaurants in Wausau if you want to get out of the house. The kitchen is stocked with all of the basics for cooking and grilling (bring your own food, seasonings, etc).

Our stay was just fantastic! The cabin was easy to get into, cozy as can be, and looked brand new. We all enjoyed hours of pool in the game house. The winter snow didn’t stop us and the kids took a polar bear plunge in the melted shallow waters. We enjoyed s’mores over the awesome fire pit during the snow because Dawn had dry wood accessible. Sleeping accommodations were perfect and the beds were so comfortable-not too soft, not too hard. The kitchen was spotless and had great utensils as we made almost all of our meals at the cabin rather than going out. We highly recommend Dawns cabin!

From answering questions while considering our booking to responding while we were there, Dawn went above and beyond to be available and kind and courteous. Everyone was impressed with how well things were labeled and spelled out for you. We loved how many rooms there were and places to sleep, while maintaining some privacy for different family members. So many games to play! Everything you would need in the kitchen. Paddleboats, kayaks, and life jackets, and wonderful backyard, trails to explore, and more! We are already talking about booking next year! We are super excited to have found such a wonderful getaway to accommodate our big family so close to home!! Definitely recommend!!!

Spruce Haven was a perfect getaway for us. Location was great. We had an event to attend in Wausau and it was a short ride away. Everything was clean and organized. We really enjoyed spending the weekend at the cabin.
