We absolutely love living here and thought we would like to share one of our favourite places with others. We offer a beautiful one-bedroom cottage with a lovely outdoor wood fire tub and a romantic little area with a firepit, nestled in a natural setting with views of a stream, native bush and native birds. Each site is convenated by QEII National Trust who describe Mahakirau "outstanding for it's ecology and wildlife value with brown kiwi, kaka, Hochsetetter's and Archey's frogs all present". A spacious house in a bush setting, sit back and relax, take a bush walk down to the stream on the property and star gaze at night.

The Onion Shed - comfortable and convenient.

In a previous life this B&B was a shed for sorting & drying onions. This old onion shed has been fully renovated into a beautiful, relaxing studio for two. From your room you have unspoilt rural views of the market gardens. There is a 100yr old oak tree in front of your cottage where you can relax. We offer a continental breakfast which includes toast and cereal with homemade jams and fresh fruit from the orchards.
