Vacation rentals in Maniwa

Good experience to stay and hope to come again.

We had a great stay at Yumiko's guest house. From the start Yumiko and Shinichi were very responsive to any messages that we sent. She proactively reached out to us to schedule our check in, and was very flexible with how our plans kept getting pushed back due to various things like traffic and kids. She gave us great recommendations for the area. Our check in experience was great. Shinichi met us at the bottom of the stairs and gave us a tour of the guest house, explaining everything in detail. Yumiko and Shinichi provided us with various amenities that we did not expect, such as some snacks, water bottles, and a baby crib for our infant. The guest house itself was great, exactly as the listing shows. It was very clean and well furnished and was easy to start living in it. We felt right at home in this guest house. Overall, Yumiko and Shinichi made our stay at Okayama perfect. I will definitely be returning in the future and telling others about it.

Nice place to stay for family!!

Alan and Reiko went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ease certain travel pains. We were celebrating a birthday and they were kind of enough to arrange a cake from the mainland, they helped us locate a camera left on the ferry, they facilitated a bike rental, they gave us rides when we needed them, the list goes on. We were lucky enough to eat at their newly opened restaurant, and had the most incredible meal - probably the best we have eaten in Japan thus far! This is to say nothing of their lovely property, which is sublime. We stayed in the queen villa and were able to look out at the beautiful garden foregrounding the sea and sky. The historic buildings were breathtaking, with modern touches to ensure our comfort. I especially enjoyed the espresso machine in the mornings! I look forward to someday returning to this incredibly beautiful and peaceful spot, thank you Alan and Reiko for a memorable family birthday weekend!

The guest house was very neat and clean inside.The layout was easy to use, and the kids got used to it right away and used it like it was their own home. The host explained things politely, and the flexibility with the check-in and check-out times was really helpful. I would definitely use it again if I have the opportunity.Thank you!

Eclectic, quirky and definitely memorable place to stay. This is not the place for you if you like faceless corporate style. Brett is a friendly host who is keen to help and engage. The use of electric bikes made the location easy and we had great fun visiting local islands Naoshima and Teshima. Uno has a very nice onsen. Our favourite memory of the house was sitting outside listening to all the different bird noises.

I was very helpful during my stay.Thank you for your very polite explanation when you checked in.Also, when I checked out, I forgot the ingredients I brought in in the refrigerator, but thank you for your kindness so that I can take it out after you check out. Dane Island was still a little chilly, but they politely told us about heating measures so that it doesn't get cold at night.Thanks to you, we had a pleasant time.

I highly recommend this place if you're visiting the area or the surrounding islands. Aya is a lovely host and very responsive to any questions. The accommodation is traditional Japanese and includes everything we need in addition to a great "snack" where Aya offers snacks and tea/coffee/water bottles. On top of that, Aya makes wonderful donuts that she sells in her little donut shop near the house. Don't miss! Thanks for everything!
