Vacation rentals with a pool in Makarska

SHE House was as advertised. We quickly called her home feeling acclimated & comfortable. Our GPS sent us some terrible way initially but the locals were very friendly offering us assistance. Our host was patient & accommodating showing us how many ways to reach the house ("all roads lead to SHE House"). We really enjoyed how centrally located the home was to all things on Brac Island. We realized our visit was a bit early for the weather & the season when our original ferry from Makarska was cancelled due to bad weather but no worries we just had to go to Split. The wind was so strong it actually blew open the latched front door one afternoon. The soft throws in the basket were nice & cozy-really appreciated. Some of our favorite meals were at Pumparela Restaurant & Taverna Riva in Bol; Konoba Kopacina & Restaurant Ziza in Donji Humac; Gastro Diva in Makarska. Driving in Croatia is NOT for the faint of heart but if you happen to be on the D8 stop for coffee at Strada.

We have just returned from a vacation in this beautiful villa and we simply have to share our delight! We were looking for accommodation that offers complete privacy and relaxation, and this villa surpassed all our expectations. Nestled in the midst of untouched nature, the villa offers an incredible feeling of peace and tranquility. Starting the day with the chirping of birds and fresh air, far from the city bustle, was a real balm for the soul. The pool was an absolute hit! Spacious, clean and with plenty of deckchairs for everyone - ideal for morning refreshment or afternoon enjoyment in the sun. We especially liked that the pool was completely private, which allowed us to relax without any interference. The garden is a story in itself. Beautifully decorated, with plenty of greenery and colorful flowers, and a multitude of vegetables, it is a true work of art. Every corner of the garden exudes care and love, providing the perfect ambience for evening gatherings or simply enjoying the silence. The child loved to explore every corner! This villa is not just accommodation, but a unique experience.

Had a wonderful stay! The place is just like the photos, with amazing views out to sea and across to Split. A fantastic outdoor space with the heated pool and outdoor kitchen where we prepared and cooked all our meals. The bedrooms were comfortable, with good temperature control, blackout shutters, and well sound insulated from any noises outside. Recommend the short hike up the hill behind the house for even more amazing views in all directions. Nina and Petar were great hosts, proactively making contact ahead of arrival and departure, meeting on our schedule, providing great recommendations for things to see and do, and being easily reachable if needed.

We had a wonderful stay and could not recommend the place more highly. Arranged as 2 flats with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the first floor and a larger flat spread over the 2nd and third floors of the building with 4 bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms. The upper flat had plenty of room for all 12 of us to eat around the table. With 4 “oldies” in our 50’s and 60’s with 8 young in their 20’s it was the perfect arrangement! Everything we wanted was within easy walking distance and you do not need a car! The plunge pool and outside space was larger than we had thought from the photos. Altogether a great holiday. We had a very nice stay at the villa! The villa is in a quiet neighborhood where everything is easily accessible. Marko is a super nice host, very accommodating, warm and always available for a recommendation/tip 👍🏻 The villa is well maintained and clean.

Had a lovely stay at Jelena’s place. We’re two families with young children (one 3 yrs and two infants 6 months) and the apartment and it’s outdoors gave us everything we needed for the week! Great views over the mountains. We loved that we had the pool by our selves and many sitting areas in shade in the garden. There were always somewhere we could sit outside depending on the wheather. Close to supermarket, beaches, Omiš town etc when we wanted to do something. Jelena was very kind, helpful and gave our stay the extra touch! Would have loved to stay another week. Truly recommend!

This villa is stunning. Quiet and calm neighbourhood. The hosts were available 24/7 via txt. The pool was super refreshing and we had sun from 9am to 8pm. The view is better than the pictures. We had 6 adults in the house and did not feel crowded at all - thanks to the 3 full bathrooms. I recommend a rental car because the villa is high up on a mountain. We drove around to Split quite a lot to do shopping and golf. We also hiked to the Fortica on the mountain. Omis has great restaurants. I would stay here again! Thank you.

I had a fantastic stay at Lukas' Airbnb in Podstrana. The location is truly unbeatable—just a 15 to 20-minute drive into Split, making it perfect for exploring the city, and only a 5-minute drive to the beautiful seafront. The villa itself is immaculate; it's clear that every detail has been thoughtfully considered, ensuring you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Luka was an exceptional host. He responded very quickly to all my enquiries and was always available and eager to offer great recommendations to enhance my visit. He went above and beyond to assist me, which truly made my experience memorable. I highly recommend Lukas' place for anyone looking for a well-located, comfortable, and welcoming stay in Podstrana. I would definitely stay here again!

It was a very good place to stay! Beautiful surroundings, close to a beach and with stores within walking distance. Bus connections to central Split was sufficient for our stay, although not the most frequent.

Mr. Vjenceslav was super nice, funny and helpful. The apartment was also found without major deficiencies as shown in the photos. We would definitely recommend this place with great views.

Thank you so much Petar, we had a lovely time in Split. The apartment was basic with everything we needed. It was super clean and tidy. Lots of places to eat and a beach literally across the road. The bedrooms had no aircon, but Petar had fans delivered the next day, greatly appreciated. We also had a very late flight home and he kindly extended our check-out time. Thanks again.

This is an exceptional apartment, split over two levels with first floor bedroom and bathrooms and living and kitchen space above, leading to a large balcony. Yes it is set on a hillside and yes the pathways up from the beach are steep, but the view of the whole bay made the climb worth the effort. The apartment is very modern and bathrooms spotless. The pool is a decent size and whenever we were using it we had it to ourselves. Apartment comes complete with James Bond style hatch opening to the rooftop! There was a mix up with check-in but the owner quickly responded to the message on Airbnb and got it sorted. The apartment is possibly the best equipped we have stayed in with plenty of crockery and utensils and chopping boards etc and plentiful supplies of toilet rolls, linen, towels (for bathrooms and for pool). Driving and parking can be challenging. We will miss our evening BBQs on the balcony watching activity on the water and the sun setting. Book now, you won't be disappointed

Anita was a wonderful host, proactive in her communication and provided very clear instructions (super helpful for us weary travellers many hours delayed on arrival). Her flat is super homely and comfortable and a quick taxi ride into the city. Would recommend

Amazing hosts and a lovely place to stay!

Elena was a spectacular host. She picked me up at the airport and took me to her home. It was a bit difficult to find the first time as it is on a pedestrian street but we quickly found our way around It is 5 minutes from EVERYTHING.. the beaches , green market, the palace and old town … The patio and pool made a perfect place to relax after a long day sightseeing

Fantastic view from the balcony - better than watching TV! Lovely swimming pool. A steep walk from the beach - but so is everywhere near here!. A great location in a lovely authentic village - all amenties nearby. I'd recommend the local fish restaurant too!!

I highly recommend this place! The house is located on a hill, a little above the village, which allows for a spectacular view of Selca and the sea from the terrace. The home is only rented to guests in the summer, with the owners living here in the remaining months - you can immediately see and feel this homey vibe and character. Feel at home, the kitchen is as well-equipped. The layout of the house, spacious tears, and a large patio allow for 6 people to function comfortably. There is a vegetable garden, nicely maintained garden plants and flowers. An agency lists a home on Airbnb, but guests are greeted by homeowners, very welcoming and helpful. Many times during their stay, they accommodated us with their own products - vegetables, eggs from a nearby chicken coop, and delicious olive oil. The pool and hot tub are cleaned regularly. A home located in a quiet part of the island, which is a big advantage. There are lovely intimate, rocky beaches nearby (access by car, but no problem with parking). There is a large convenient food market in Selca.

Amazing location, the view from the terrace and bedroom is breathtaking, the house itself is fantastic-very well maintained , it has everything you need for a perfect holiday. Kitchen is very well equipped with pans and pots, cutlery, dishwasher, oven, washing machine. There are multiple AC in the house to keep you fresh, towels and nice white bedding. Next to the pool there is a shower with fresh water, sun beds, umbrellas and a big table to eat al fresco. We couldn’t check in early, but the host let us park one of our cars at the house ahead of time. He welcomed us with a bottle of white wine. We were 4 people and loved it here. We felt we had a lot of privacy and plenty of space. Highly recommended.

Very clean, great facilities and lots to do in the villa. Well laid out and new amenities in kitchen and living room. Amazing place!

Villa Nareste is located at the top of a hill, nestled in front of high cliffs with a breathtaking view of the Adriatic Sea! The place is spotless and spacious. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and sitting out on the deck. The kitchen was well equipped and the hosts kindly offered use of any food. We would highly recommend for those who enjoy a quiet and peaceful location and aren’t afraid of a steep uphill drive to get there!

We (two couples) had a wonderful time at the villa in Kastel Kambelovac. The sea view from the terrace and the master bed room is wonderful. We enjoyed the heated pool and the sea, that is directly in front of the garden, only protected with a small door. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. We lived 10 days in the house and we got new bath towels and bed sheets in the middle of our stay. We also used the grill in the garden and had Sea bass from the fish market not far away. There is a very good restaurant only 5 minutes walking distance. You can also reach a lot of restaurants when you walk along the beach to Kastel Stari or Kastel Novi. Very close is a Beauty Salon called Samsara where you can get various of fantastic massages. Trogir ist not far away and worth to visit. We had a wonderful time at the villa. Our host was very courteous, friendly and helpful. We would book the house again at any time.

We had an amazing stay in a beautiful villa in Imotski, Croatia. The hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive, always available whenever we needed anything. The villa was perfect for a family getaway, with a lovely pool, plenty of deck chairs for relaxing, and well-maintained gardens, complete with a tennis table for some fun family games. The beds were really comfortable, ensuring we all got a great night’s sleep, and the TV system was excellent, keeping us entertained during our downtime. The BBQ area was a fantastic spot for outdoor meals, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and laid-back, making it a perfect place to unwind. Imotski is a charming, friendly town, and there are plenty of streams and scenic walks nearby, which were great for the kids to explore. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return. Highly recommend this villa for families or anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable break!

We had the best stay. The place was spotless and a dream vacation home. The view was breathtaking and every detail was thoughtfully thought through. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay at. We recommended the warmest.
