The Trailhead Guest Cottage

Our peaceful oceanfront guest cottage is situated at the head of the 9.5 km Pollett's Cove hiking trail.  We recommend a two night stay - first night, settle in with a beverage, evening sunset and star gazing.  Wake to coffee and farm fresh breakfast delivered to your door step (except in August when we are on vacation), before hitting the trail to Pollett's Cove, the Skyline or any of the 30 other nearby national park trails. Have a swim, and return to a hot outdoor shower. Repeat!

Highland Glamping In The HideOut

Reconnect with nature at this unique escape, or HideOut in The Highlands of Cape Breton. You are surrounded by Cape Breton Highlands National Park,hike many of the trails in the area or take a 10 minute walk to Pleasant Bay Harbour,sit on the beach and enjoy one of the best place to see the sunset 🌅 on the Island. Watch local fishermen unload their lobster 🦞 or crab 🦀 catches during season time. Grab a meal at our local restaurant The Rusty Anchor or The Mountain View 😊

La Maison Grise

CITQ 151056 – La Maison Grise is an old barn converted into a house. It is located at the foot of the Butte Ronde and offers one of the most beautiful views of the Islands. You will be a few minutes' walk from a small beach on one side and the Pointe Basse wharf on the other. For hiking lovers, the climb of the Butte Ronde or simply walking in the valleys along the Chemin des Montants is worth the detour. Looking forward to introducing you to our little paradise!

The Lantern House

Welcome to the Lantern House, a large beautiful house with 360-degree panoramic views of the sea and 3 immediate white sand beaches. There are 2 SUP boards (stand up paddle) and bicycles. For 2025, major renovations have been carried out, new floors, new mattresses, sofas and wall paneling in solid pine, bedroom furniture replaced. You're going to love it! The 7-passenger 4x4 Ford car is included with the house, free of charge.

The accommodation, located on the panoramic site of Belle Anse (Central Island of Cap-aux-Meules), offers exceptional views of the sunsets and red cliffs of the Magdalen Islands. Glamping doesn’t get any easier than this. Easy to find, we are located directly on the Cabot Trail in the world famous Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Nestled in the small village of Pleasant Bay, you can take a break from hiking the parks beautiful trails by enjoying some whale watching, nearby beach sunsets or simply enjoying the space with a nighttime bonfire. Chalet Amelia Carson

I am confident you will enjoy your stay in this small community that hosts one of two anglophone populations on the islands. Hospitality abound as you visit with the locals at the local wharf and sometimes even hitch a ride to fish some mackeral! A very quiet area with a rich history and stories of shipwrecks. Free firewood provided for the outdoor firepit as well.
