This place was exactly what my wife and I wanted. The house was overlooking the ocean and plenty of pretty vegetation around the house. Overall, Joe was the star. He was so amazing with communication. I’d love to stay here again.

Portside on Holmes Bay

Great getaway with an old friend to hiking the Quoddy Head and Culter Preserve Trails, without being so far out of Machias that it felt isolated. House was warm, comfortable, great view, well stocked kitchen, clear instructions and communications, etc. Also, dog friendly--had a long leash ready on the deck, dog dishes in the cupboard, etc. I'd love to come back again!
Two individuals are seen foraging blueberries in a lush green field. One is knelt down, picking berries, while the other, sitting close, inspects the fruit. The landscape is dotted with grasses and small wildflowers under a clear sky.

Mary Adeline Cabin at Welch Farm

SabrinaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was a beautiful farm to stay on. Having access to walk to the different locations was such a treat. Knowing now that the cabins are right next to each other, this would make a great spot for a multi-group camping trip. There was some noise from cars on the road nearby but in general it was a beautiful spot. The beds were comfortable, the water was very hot and efficient. The cabin is not insulated so it was a little chilly at night (in May) but we were provided two heaters and warm blankets so we stayed cozy. Ours kids had a blast. Thank you Lisa!
The serene coastline of Englishman Bay is depicted, with a sandy stretch revealing at low tide. Sunlight glistens on the water, and sparse vegetation frames the scene. In the distance, gentle waves lap against the shore, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere.

This charming home with beautiful views is extremely quiet, comfortable, welcoming, and well-kept. Immersed along the rocky Downeast coastline, it is an amazingly wonderful spot for observing and embracing nature's elements Truly a gem. Most importantly, the hosts are very thoughtful, attentive, and responsive. We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this property for all that it has to offer.

Saltair, a Downeast jewel

What can I say about Salt Air, other than SPECTACULAR! This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The house is pristine and spotless and the location is beyond beautiful. Mark is an amazing host, he goes above and beyond in communication and in providing such a lovely home to stay in. We were looking for peace and tranquility and we found it in spades here. I could go on for days about how perfect this place is, but instead of listening to me, you should just book your trip to come here! You certainly won’t regret a single moment! Thank you Mark!

Second time staying here, because we just love it! Spacious, beautiful home, right on the water. Bike across bridge to Great Wass Island Preserve. Kayak right from beach out front, wake up to gorgeous sunrises amongst lobster boats. The best!

Private oceanfront glamping

We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the tides. It’s a camper so you do sacrifice the comfy beds at home, but the scenery and quiet make up for that. Would stay again.
