Cottage with breathtaking views in Mabou, NS

This home was everything I could have asked for. It was cozy, private and the views were outstanding. Mabou is a beautiful area. Perfect place to rest and slow down from a busy life. Dave was very very responsive and helpful with suggestions. I would highly recommend staying here. Best bnb experience we have had.
A spacious deck extends along the edge of the property, offering unobstructed views of the horizon. The setting sun casts warm hues across the sky, creating a serene backdrop. String lights decorate the railing, enhancing the ambiance for evening gatherings.

Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful view and the home was very comfortable. We spent a lot of time at Inverness beach and the Highlands National Park and the location was perfect for us. Our host was also very friendly and was great checking in with us to make sure everything was always good. Will stay again.

Pam was an awesome host. Quick to reply to any questions we had and great for information. The cabin we stayed in felt brand new. Everything was perfect. Would not hesitate to book here again. Close to lots of great golf courses.

The sandy beach stretches out along the coastline, framed by low grass and rocky formations. Small groups of people can be seen enjoying the water and sun, with some placed at various distances. Gentle waves lap at the shore under a clear sky.

Sandcastle in the Hood

A terrific property thoughtfully equipped for beach stays and related local excursions. Really had everything in the property you'd need. Location-wise, it's on the 'main drag' but at least in early June that didn't mean much traffic. It's literally a few steps to a lovely sandy beach (granted there is a steep but short slope in between :)) - a few more steps, or very short drive, to the post office, grocery store, a bar/restaurant, and a seasonal ice cream stand. About 8 miles to Mabou (try the Red Shoe Pub for excellent onion rings and local music), a bit more to Inverness (we enjoyed the deck of Whit's Public House, very dog friendly, and hope to try the Rt 19 brewery next time.)

Family friendly sandy beach front cottage

A Dream Getaway in Port Hood Staying at this Airbnb was truly a dream come true. Everything was exactly as described—and even better. The home was in excellent condition, peaceful, and so thoughtfully put together that we immediately felt relaxed and at home. The location made it easy to explore the area. We drove to the Skyline Trail, stopping at Glenora Distillery along the way, and the entire drive from the cottage was absolutely stunning. We also visited the local beaches and restaurants. The Co-op was easy to find and had everything we needed. If you’re heading to Cape Breton Highlands National Park, I highly recommend taking the scenic route from Port Hood—it’s far more beautiful than the main highway route and made the journey feel even more magical. We’re so grateful to our hosts for such a perfect stay. Highly recommend!
