Asian-style beachfront retreat on West End tip
The space
You and eleven others can call an immaculate, stylish villa on Grand Bahama Island your own. Nandana is an eclectic mix of an Asian beach house and top-notch Caribbean island home. The intricate details emulate the thoughtful attention to detail in each corner of the home, such as the hand-made, unique carved walls, while the massive windows let the white and turquoise colors of the beach radiate through the home.
Nandana is a fully-staffed villa. During your stay, you’ll be treated to an estate manager, concierge, chauffeur, night butler, and a chef. Two ATVs, two jet-skis, paddle boards, waterskis and kayaks are readily at hand for adventuring around the pristine shoreline. If your many activities calls for a little time-out, there are spa and masseuse services available to ease the muscles and mind.
The outdoor space includes a heated infinity pool, hot tub, sprawling dining area, and of course, a pristine beach. While the natural landscape will make any sun worshipper book a plane ticket without second thought, the interiors of this mansion are an architects dream. 40ft ceilings bring an airiness to the home, constructed with a focus on natural materials. Burmese teak covers the floors, walls and ceilings, offset by rustic yet elegant natural stone. A state-of-the-art lighting system illuminates the woodwork’s intricate details.
Privacy will never be an issue at Nandana. Each of the five bedrooms are in its own separate, free-standing suite; the bedrooms are a mini hideaway from the estate, yet just steps away from the pool and main house. Two of the suites are equipped with a king size bed, while three have a queen bed. An additional room can be made with a full-size bed for an extra guest as well. All of the rooms have an en-suite bathroom with shower and tub, air conditioning and ceiling fan.
While the combined tranquility and activity at Nandana provides little reason to venture further afield, there’s more adventure just around the corner. Have a private scuba diving lesson and see the myriad of colorful sea creatures, picnic on a nearby deserted beach, or for those looking for an extra jolt of adrenaline, shark diving can be arranged too.
