Vacation rentals with lake access in Lough Mask

We had a family break March 2025. 12 family members, the accommodation was perfect for us. Great kitchen/dining room for socialising/eating. Never felt on top of each other 6 of the bedrooms had en-suite shower room and there was also a downstairs cloakroom off of the main hall. All of the 5 double bedrooms downstairs had en-suites and one of the double bedrooms upstairs. We all loved coming back 'home' after a day out. Great outside facilities, plently of logs for the sauna, hot tub. Excvellent views. Beautiful stary skies on clear nights with zero light polution! Will be staying again, already planning our 2026 stay! Marian was extremely responsive both before and duting our stay, as was the local caretaker who responded almost immediatley to a maintenance request we had during our stay

As 2 Americans visiting the Mayo/Sligo region for a month Andrea's place was ideal. VERY comfortable/firm king bed, privacy/thick doors between main room and bedrooms. Well heated. Great daylighting with windows you can open wide. Small but well stocked kitchen (we cooked daily), two places for us to work (FAST internet). Andrea made her welcome basket all gluten free for us too! The main room: kitchen, kitchen table, a loveseat, and chair. It is cozy and worked perfect for two adults who already live in a small house. Nearby Ballina is full of local coffee shops (Check out Christina at Cupan Ceoil, Dave at Dave's, and more), restaurants, large grocery stores, pubs (Betty's, Vincy's), and local shops. Sligo is only an hour away and the beautiful Enniscrone beaches are only 20 minutes away! Foxford is close as well as Swinford. Can't say enough about all the local places and people. Can't imagine a better place to stay if you are planning on daytripping around Mayo!

We stayed as a family (two boys, ages 2 and 4) for three nights over the Easter holidays. I couldn’t recommend this enough-what a gorgeous experience for our fellas! They were delighted by the charm of the bus and loved taking turns in the driver seat. Richard couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful both in showing us around and recommending local spots. The campfire area was especially nice too. Not far from Galway and Wildlands Park; beautiful drives all around and a gorgeous walk by Lough Corrib. Huge thanks to Richard for hosting us-boys are already asking to go back. Many thanks!

What a lovely home, nestled far away to get some peace but close enough to great restaurants and attractions. A lovely space for a group or family to enjoy time in the Irish countryside. Appreciated the welcome pack and website with recommendations and instructions. Great communication with our host throughout our stay, which made this a delightful experience.

Absolutely gorgeous house and grounds, like something from a postcard. Everything you could need was in the house. House is bright and spotlessly clean. Great location. Handy adventure centre in the hotel a five minute walk from the house. Margaret is a fantastic host who made sure we had a great trip. Thank you Margaret. The Mancunian girls will come again!

Such a beautiful place! Great location, private and far enough away but just a quick 5 minute drive and you’re in the heart of Galway! The parking suggestions were perfect! Overall, it was a great stay and so unique!

It was a great place. Very beautiful house with a good ambience inside and outside. Clean home and ample space for everything. The host was very good and friendly with communication and quick response to my questions. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking out for a one night get together. They also have outdoor space for campfire and games.

This place is 11/10 throughout! Very nice place and everything is accounted for, from start to finish the property is spot on! Will 100% be returning back again and again!

We had an amazing stay! The space was so charming and beautifully decorated. The host was super welcoming. We would absolutely stay here again!

We had a super stay at Willie's place. The apartment was very stylish and comfy and had everything we needed including a great coffee machine. The pizzas (and pints) in the pub downstairs were delicious! Will definitely return in future.

What a beautiful apartment in a perfect location! From the bedroom window you not only see the ocean but also lots of happy sheep. In the evenings, you can light a fire and make the space really cosy. The kitchen is everybody’s dream. If you stay here, it is the perfect location to explore Achill, I would definitely recommend it! Thank you Carmel for renting out your beautiful apartment 😊

Our stay with Regina was wonderful it's a great little get away; nice, peaceful, relaxing and great views all around. Regina was the perfect host greeting us at the door making us feel very welcomed, giving us tips on what to do in the local area and leaving us some of her signature scones to enjoy. I would highly recommend staying with Regina.

Impeccably clean, well appointed, and beautiful views. Perfect retreat with friendly and responsive hosts. A very useful and detailed booklet that clearly explains how the appliances work as well as many useful tips for the area! Highly recommend!

We had such a lovely stay at Shirley’s lodge! The cottage was absolutely charming—cozy, clean, and full of character. The views were breathtaking and made our time in Ireland feel even more magical. Shirley was the sweetest host, and the fresh bread she made for us was such a thoughtful (and delicious!) touch. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. We had most amazing days at the cottage. The location is stunning with great access to the pier and activities. The cottage the spacious and has everything one needs including for a family like us. Would definitely come again and highly recommend! Thanks Deirdre !

Die Vermieter waren immer freundlich, hilfsbereit und schnell zu erreichen. Traumhafte Lage direkt am See. Die Einrichtung ist zweckdienlich, die Ausstattung der Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

the views are unbelievable at our lough as we've now decided it belongs to us lol... The wee cottage was perfect for a family of 4. we were able to make dinner and slept very well. Piero looked after us really well. He was a,wee legend x

We had a wonderful stay! Mícheál was very nice. The house was large and welcoming. Very clean. Well stocked kitchen. He gave us a good recommendation for a place to eat in the village, which was very close. The food there was very good. The ponies at Micheál’s place were very friendly and curious. Such a lovely slice of Connemara!
