The Big Room - Historic Schoolhouse

Located one mile from the racetrack in the little village of Summit Point. This is a large renovated former classroom with 13' ceilings in the old Elementary School. Summit Point is a quiet place where you can take a leisurely stroll. There are even a couple sidewalks ;) We have 3 churches and a post office. The "Railside Market" serves food and sundries one block away. (currently has limited hours) Multiple food options are available in nearby Charles Town and lots more in Winchester Virginia!

Sharon was very friendly and very proactive with responses to any of my questions. I loved the intention to detail in making us feel cozy with a welcoming basket. Sharon was very accommodating to our needs of needing an extra night within the listing which such a blessing. The listing is very easy to access within a neighborhood. I would say the only thing is it did get a little warm sometimes at night but nothing unbearable. If you’re thinking about booking this listing definitely do it. Sharon was a such a gracious friendly host!

We stopped here just as a place to rest during our journey from NJ to NC, but we wish we could’ve stayed longer! Such a cute place. Samuel thought of absolutely everything a person could need, but the space was still spotless and free of clutter. The instructions to get there were super helpful. Such a lovely place, we really enjoyed our stay!

We loved being in the country, but only a few minutes from town. The surrounding area had beautiful farms and sites. The room was cozy and had all expected amenities and lots of thoughtful extras! We look forward to returning and continuing exploring this area! We lost power during our stay, but Sandy went above and beyond to make sure we had light, were comfortable and helped us make alternative dinner plans since our planned restaurant was also without power. We also really appreciated Sandy's local knowledge and suggestions!
