Chester Private Home - 2 acres

AnaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a spectacular property and the photos do not entirely do it justice. The interior is cozy and welcoming while also feeling very open and spacious. The flooring, bedding, and furniture were clean and pleasant. The home renovation was done thoughtfully and with careful attention to aesthetic and functional detail for comfort and joy in every aspect of the guest experience. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained and fun to explore. The fence effectively and safely allowed our dog do roam free, which added to the convenience and relaxation of the weekend. We eagerly look forward to returning!

Isaac Read Cottage—historic Hope property near DWG

JonathanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Annika's Isaac Read Cottage. We wanted a peaceful getaway from the city where we could be surrounded by greenery, and Annika's accommodation provided exactly that. The space was quiet, private, clean, and fully stocked with listed amenities and thoughtful extras like breakfast treats, fresh fruit, locally made bread, vegan butter, jam, orange juice, milk, oats, and coffee. The kitchen appliances were new and high quality, and the provided olive oil and spices made cooking very easy. We enjoyed the Luxury bathrobes. the separate, sunny backyard, and ability to do laundry before we left. Annika was very communicative, friendly, and accommodating. Before our arrival, she provided a downloadable online guide book with every detail of what to expect and helpful information. it made the entire process from check-in to check-out a breeze. The entire experience was very enjoyable and relaxing. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing View Lake Retreat with kayak/pedalboat

DebbieRating, 5 stars5 days ago
This is the second time my husband and I booked with Alev. It was just as enjoyable and beautiful, even though the sun didn't come out as much as it did last time. Fishing was good, using the kayaks was fun, enjoyed nearby stores and restaurants, and it was good to catch up with Alev, all in all a great time!

Lake in the Front, State Forest in the Back

CaylynRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had a great time! It’s very cozy, quaint and quiet. There’s a very small driveway/parking spot which was very nice because there is not really a shoulder area to park, it’s a narrow road. The steps going up are chipped and we did trip and fall but they warn you about that on the listing, you just have to watch your step. Everything was very clean, no bugs, the beds were perfectly safe and they even had toys delivered for my toddler. The lake was not “unusable”, there was a temporary swimming ban due to a bloom of algae. There’s nothing you can do about Mother Nature but they warned us ahead of time. They’re so close to the Land of Make Believe which is a toddler amusement park. There are curtains in the bedrooms that give you privacy from the neighbors but the rest of the house doesn’t have curtains. The views were beautiful and we didn’t feel like we were being watched at all. It’s a cozy lake house and you’re there for the views and the water. I would book again!

Tiny house

CarolineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I stayed one night at the efficiency tiny house, Luna’s House, located inside the magical and welcoming backyard of the host family. For those familiar with tiny houses, or for those considering a stay, this is a comfy loft (1 person or two avg folks) over kitchen design w/ a low (5’6”ish+/-) kitchen ceiling clearance. I’m 5’10” & didn’t need food prep, but thought I’d be fine with a short/medium prep (2-burner gas) & cook (grill is avail., as well). Sofa=futon/mattress for 2nd person. Straight ladder to loft. Full-size shower! Clean and peaceful; lovely yard to explore (chickens!) and to sit and relax. I am a 60-yr-old woman traveling solo on this trip & I felt very safe. The hosts are happy to answer any questions. I grabbed good coffee & b’fast to go at host rec, Roosters Coffee. I recommend Luna’s House & Roosters!

Lakefront Vacation Home

RickRating, 5 stars1 month ago
House was large, old but charming, comfortable. Location was great; back deck looked directly out onto a pretty lake, perfect for evening conversation. Hosts went out of their way to provide instant information and were very accommodating to our uncertain arrival. My friends and I couldn't have been happier with our experience in Stanhope.
