Farm Stay Cabin at Windmill Farm

ToniRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What a little gem. Wonderful hosts, super friendly and kind. Being right next to the farm was great and my 4yr old really enjoyed the hot tub and having the chickens there, so much so whenever we suggested going off-site she just wanted to stay! Normally we like a key safe and never to see a host, but these guys have the balance just perfect of being around and friendly but giving you space. The cabin was the perfect retreat for our little family and the village is great with all amenities too.

Had a lovely couple of days, the Airbnb is located in a small picturesque village which is perfect for getting away from the city. There was an issue with the boiler and they came round within minutes to resolve.

I had an absolutely lovely stay. Amie was very friendly and very easy to get along with. The place was squeaky clean and smealt beautiful. It was very accommodating and even had some treats for my dog. I would highly reccommend this place to sty. The village was beautiful and we were very lucky with the weather. Restaurants/pubs around were very good value for money and the food was lovely.

Hyde Farm Cottage

A wonderful stay in a lovely retreat. Quiet and peaceful, but close enough to get anything you need, the place like a home away from home, and Penny couldn't do enough to help out. We'll definitely return to this lovely accommodation.

I have family in the village. I’ve stayed here twice now and will stay here every time I visit from now on. House is great and Terrie is super helpful. Would highly recommend.

Spinney Cottage

HannahRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We absolutely loved staying at Spinney Cottage. The host, Caroline, was superb and kept contact. They live next door so was on hand if we had any issues & they made sure check in was easy. The house was incredibly clean, well presented & beautifully laid out. The bath was incredible after a long drive & the front room was so homely. We loved the chickens who came to say hello. We’d highly recommend staying here, lots of lovely walks & things to do locally. We will be back again I’m sure ☺️

Billing Aquadrome, Horizon 3 Bedrooms, BLP 17A

Van was clean and comfortable, good base for what we wanted to do. Park itself is pretty, and the following is no reflection on Ioans place but as an FYI you need to purchase a day pass to use the facilities such as the pool etc £5 pp per day, it's not clear if you then need to pay extra for the swimming or if that's included, the online booking for this is new and bit pointless you can't then book swimming slots on line, you have to go to the gate huts to get your wrist band for the day pass then to the pool, didn't know this as it's not on the website so went to the pool, I was told we couldn't use the pool as the local schools had returned to school so wasn't open to holiday makers, fortunately the lady did let the kids use it after a bit of a stand off, we didn't use any more of the facilities apart from the pump track so feel like the £5 day pass for use of the pool was fair as the kids used 2 x 45min slots as it was quiet, not sure I would have been happy to pay more than that.
