Stunning Views of the Berkshire Foothills

KristinaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We enjoyed a fantastic family Thanksgiving weekend in Colebrook. The home is well appointed, spacious, cozy and very comfortable. Everything we needed during our stay was intuitively located and easy to find. For those wanting to experience quintessential New England, the surrounding property itself is an outstanding example and the views are incredible! We were hoping for more wildlife sightings but did get treated to a lucky gang of wild turkeys on Thanksgiving morning. While the weather was cold and rainy/snowy, the home stayed warm and the large fireplace added to the coziness. We did get out for lunch and Christmas shopping in Great Barrington one day and highly recommend the trip. The stores in the quaint downtown offer some exceptional, unique items. Our stay in Colebrook was everything we could have hoped for and we thank Elizabeth for sharing her home with us. Happy holidays!

We had a wonderful week at Corina's house while out for a family event! The house was spotless and the kitchen was stocked with everything we could need. The outside space was just as amazing. We had a great campfire one night, enjoyed using the grill, and our dog loved being able to run around the large yard. I'm sure we'll be back next year!

Beautiful Cabin in Cornwall CT.

Henry's beautiful home and yard provided the perfect getaway for 5 friends who try to get together at least once a year, coming from 3 different states. The large rooms, clean/fresh bed linens and towels, two full bathrooms and spacious living room adjacent to the kitchen gave us jus t the right setting in which to enjoy each other's company. Breakfast at the kitchen table overlooking the backyard was bright and sunny first thing in the morning. We especially liked the backyard patio, which gets sun all day long. After a cold rainy start to our stay, we were able to enjoy a warm afternoon on the patio - sunshine, blue skies, birds, budding trees and the soothing sound of the water fountain and small pond . We found great restaurants in both Kent and in Litchfield. As an avid gardener, I can just picture Henry's beautiful landscaping when all is in bloom later in the season. Very comfortable place to hang out! We wouldn't hesitate to give others a recommendation for Henry's home.

Unique, Rustic, and Beautiful

CarolineRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Wonderful rustic country house with all amenities. Authentic in every way. We saw wild turkeys and deer in the back yard. The house overlooks a road so there is some car noise during the day but not much. John replied to a text message promptly and resolved a tiny issue we had. The kitchen has EVERYTHING for foodies and there are farms all around selling fresh products. Highly recommended. Only thing to think of is the driveway is steep so in the winter it may be a challenge and the stone stair access is not handicapped friendly so not for those in wheelchair and not easy for baby strollers. Highly recommended for a getaway from NYC.
