We had a lovely short stay at this peaceful retreat away from it all. The apartment was very clean and decorated in a lovely style. A lot of love has gone into the cottage and the story of the renovation was interesting. We were made very welcome by Adrian and Elaine and especially appreciated the lovely basket of goodies and breakfast. We really enjoyed sitting out in the morning sun and hearing nothing but the birds. It is a short walk from the easy but wonderful Clare Glens walk. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The house was tucked away in the sticks, but have confidence in the instruction as they take you right to the door. The house was comfortable, spacious, light, very clean. Loads of instructions around the house so didn’t need to spend the time figuring out how things worked! Very reasonable on price. You do need a car to get to and from it. We were very pleased with our stay

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the farm. Beautiful secluded surroundings with loads of trails to explore. very responsive hosts and always happy to help. My 3 year old son loved all the animals. Would definitely stay again! House is warm and cozy.

I found this little jam for short stay with husband and kids, and what an amazing place it was!!🤩Hands down one of best places we stayed in countryside! Owners of place is wonderful couple with great communication, friendly and so nice! There is place for kids to play outside and they even got to see some farm animals !🦃 🐑 🐓 Place is clean, beds comfortable, good wifi, all kitchen equipment to cook dinner or breakfast! We slept very well and left with full heart of joy! ☘️ We will return soon most definitely!!💯

Thatched Cottage Getaway along Wild Atlantic Way

Had a lovely time with my friends at Darragh’s cottage. Check in was smooth, albeit we were a bit late and Ellen was waiting around for us, fair play to her for her patience and friendliness upon check-in. She also went out of her way to bake us fresh batch of scones, how nice!!!Darragh was very communicative from start to finish. The cottage is in a very peaceful area, we heard an owl screeching at night! (not sure what type though). It’s a beautiful spot if you are fond of birding or would like a peaceful night away. There is also quite a lot of history surrounding the house, the walls are adorned with very interesting photos and snippets of the past. The house is very easy to find and is within driving distance to Ennis and Killimer. Thank you Darragh and Ellen!

We stayed in this beautiful cottage for 4 nights and it was so quiet and serene I hated to leave. If you think you would like to experience stepping back in time, this wonderful thatch house is for you. Even though it is very old, it has all the modern conveniences inside. In a previous review someone described their stay as magical and I couldn't agree more! The minute you turn off the main road and start driving down the lane to the cottage you feel it. I'm an avid gardener and the landscaping was immaculate. David was by far the best host we've ever had. If we needed anything at all he was right there. He was so friendly and informative, and the sweet little dogs were a bonus.

We booked a last minute trip to Fergals cabins for a weekend of relaxing and to look at our wedding photos. Fanny O'Deas was an absolute gem and Fergal was an amazing host. The cabin was bigger than I thought and it was super cosy. Fergal was so lovely and we felt right at home! Thanks so much for a lovely stay and a delightful egg flip!

We had a great time. The house is in a beautiful location. We stayed for a week and took drives each day (Adare Village, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, Limerick, Dingle Peninsula, Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher, etc...). It was great to be able to return "home" each day, rather than check in and out of places all week lugging our bags. This was particularly helpful since we were traveling with my elderly parents.

Absolutely just what we needed, a quiet break with great food in the pub, lovely friendly staff and lovely walk at the cascades loop. You would need a car to go places but Clare is beautiful to drive around and Fergal’s place is only 15 mins into Ennis 30 mins to Spanish point Hot tub and the 10% of food for glampers is a very nice touch Thank you Fergal

Mary & Derek were perfect hosts, they came to say hello when we arrived, and goodbye when they left, we knew they were there if we needed them, and said hello most days, but they weren’t intrusive. The cottage is gorgeous, it was stocked with everything we needed, and the beers, bread and butter etc. that were left for us were gratefully appreciated. My daughter loved the archery and bat & ball sets that were in the cottage. Mary & Derek’s dog was very friendly, as was the dog from the farm next door, who came to say hello most days. We visited Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, and Moher Hill Open Farm Park, snd found a lovely pub in Lissycassey, Fanny O’Dea’s, where the food was very reasonably priced and delicious. We’d highly recommend Mary & Derek as hosts, and their beautiful cottage near the stunning Wild Atlantic Way

Fergal was extremely helpful and informative in regard to local amenities and things to do in the area. He was also accommodating to us when checking in as we were delayed due to travelling conditions. The accommodation was ideal for what we needed and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying.

Stayed a few nights in a BoS shepherd’s hut in Labasheeda. The huts are kitted out with all you need for a cosy, peaceful and relaxing stay. And there’s a good internet connection. Great facilities…just like in the photos, so more of a jump up than a step up from camping! Would happily stay again. Labasheeda is a friendly village, there’s a nearby cafe, should you fancy toasties or cakes, and a bar for other refreshment.

Cosy Cot is a really lovely cottage on a gorgeous Irish country estate, and Tabitha could not be more helpful. We stayed over a wet winter weekend, and the central heating was really efficient, and the stove in the sitting room made the whole place really cosy. The kitchen is really well stocked with teas, coffees, salt, pepper, oils, herbs...all the things it's easy to forget to buy when you're stocking up for a holiday stay. Tabitha also leaves milk, bread, eggs, butter...so kind. The grounds of the estate are beautiful - rolling green in all directions from every window. We were there in November and the autumnal colours were out of this world. The lake is very pretty too - with swans!

The Stone Barn Cottage, Adare

We loved our stay in the cottage on David’s farm. It is compact, but with spacious bedrooms, each with a bathroom. It is oozing with charm, and decorated beautifully, with many of his mother’s lovely watercolors. Both of them helped us so much, with phone dialing and restaurant reservations and friendly chat. It’s just outside of the charming town of Adare, which is buzzing, so it’s especially nice to be removed into the peace and quiet of the large farm, on which you are free to roam and commune with the cattle. Wonderful!

Fabulous place, hosts were very responsive, friendly and helpful. We had a lovely long weekend here and enjoyed every minute. The place is located in a really beautiful spot, with walks and bike trails just on the doorstep. The house is full of character with a stunning kitchen and incredible views. We were delighted to also get to spend some time with their very friendly dogs and even play on the piano!
