The Famous Thiksey Monastery is just 15 minutes drive from my home and a visit to Thiksey monastery morning prayers is a must while staying here. Farmstay with a view.

You won’t want to leave this central yet quiet farm house, located just next to tissuru stupa and just a lesiurely walk from Shanti stupa. The house has a commanding view of the whole leh town. We welcome guests/ families who prefer some local cultural experience. Perfect place of you are driving into leh and want some peace and quiet. Our stay at Chery's was a really nice experience from start to finish. Home-cooked food using self-grown vegetables and other ingredients was simply great! A warm reception every day was heart-warming. We can only recommend staying at Chery's!

We stayed at Rigzin's place for 3 weeks. This is a big house in the middle of a big green area with multiple apple and apricot trees. On the first floor, there are 3 guest rooms, a big dining area & a fully equipped kitchen. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The property is very near to Skara market so fetching groceries or going for dining was super easy. Rigzin and her husband were super responsive to our needs, they were very professional and respected our privacy. They treated us like family and made small gestures to make us feel at home. As there is a big area around the house there is no shortage of parking space. Rigzin and her family live on the ground floor. Overall it was a good stay.

Rigzin is great host. I liked whole family. very friendly. Super food. Very caring people. Location amidst mountains. will visit again.

Greatest stays of all time , Stanzin is a really great host friendly and helpfull , specially Dolma aunty who took great care of us in the freezing cold. Great location ( near airport , near main market ) Beautiful window view , clean rooms. It felt like home. If we come to leh again will stay here for sure . Recommend 10/10

Come here if you want to experience authentic Ladakhi rural lifestyle with a really kind and sincere family! As written in my last reviews, this is a gem in Phyang village. Below is a few extra highlights from my last stay: 1. Perfect location in beautiful Phyang village. Just a 15-minute walk to Phyang monastery. 2. You can enjoy the quiet and peaceful rural lifestyle without being too far from Leh where you can go to nice cafes, restaurants and do all your shopping. 3. You can observe a sustainable agricultural practices that contain tons of traditional Ladakhi wisdom, which the modern world needs to learn from. 4. The food is top-notch! Everyone in the family is superb cook! Ms. Sonam and Mrs. Rigzin will feed you with the best food on earth! 5. The room is modern and clean, with amenities comparable to a hotel room 6. For your information, the farmstay is 30 min from Leh market by taxi, which will cost you 600 rupees. There are also buses that will cost only 20 rupees one way.
