Great place. Good Host. LUMA electric failed last 2-3 days of stay, Host provided a Generator on site to use. Self fill gas and acquirement. Honestly, the lost of electric with such beautiful nature really allows you to unplug from society. Realy gives you a feel of how the Tainos lived. Loved it.😊

This solo freestyle trip to Puerto Rico humbled me to say the very least! Left with what seems like hundreds of cuts and bruises but also with memories and friends that will last a lifetime. Being able to camp out in the middle of the mountains accompanied by the sounds of nature and nothing else was an otherworldly experience. Walking around barefoot connecting with this earth, showering in a fresh spring water river with no one around and taking in the view of a thousand stars at night. Explored many small towns and walked into the woods with no fear and excitement to see what I might encounter (was not disappointed). Puerto Rico was so welcoming, I met the most wonderful people that treated me as if they've known me for years. Offering me drinks and food and making great conversation. Being a solo female traveler there is always that fear of what might happen, but Brett and his son were so attentive and informative and made sure I got the best Puerto Rican experience!

This might be the best AirBNB I’ve stayed at on Earth. It is difficult to describe the awe inspiring views and the ample space and opportunity to explore it! This place is worth every penny. Pool is awesome, kitchen was great and very well stocked. The trails they’ve cut on the property are a nice hike but beware they’re steep and a workout to get back up. River was fun to play in with kids, might be tougher during a more rainy season. The hardest part about this place for some is going to be the winding mountain. Drive and very steep roads to get there. Not much of a drawback if you ask me!

Our family had a magical time at "A Craftsman's Cabin". Not only was the off-the-beaten-path location and the indoor/outdoor accommodation a cool experience, and the surrounding mountains absolutely stunning, but the highlight was getting to know Geidy, Frank and their adorable son Sebastian. My 8 year old son and him became fast friends and were inseparable during our stay. If you want to get out of the tourist areas and have a truly authentic experience, I would HIGHLY recommend this AirBNB. We stayed in multiple AirBNBs during our time in Puerto Rico (some fancier/more expensive) and this was hands down the highlight of our trip. (And if you are not into hanging out with AirBNB hosts, the host family lives a ways away and you have complete privacy.):). My kids said to rate it a 10/5.:). Thank you Geidy, Frank and Sebastian for a wonderful experience we will not forget.

Excellent service!! I loved the place, just as Nelsi and her son were very, very friendly and always attentive. I also want to mention that my stay coincided with the blackout that occurred in all of PR and they were worried so I didn't miss my trip and I felt at home. Although I don't deny that when I was on my way for a moment I thought about returning home for fear that there would be no light, but I didn't let that take away my peace and I proceeded, and in fact I had no problems and I had a wonderful time and more than that, what I loved was being able to connect with the birds with their spectacular singing!!I would go back and drink more coffee on the balcony and sit down to listen to the birds singing!!Nelsi blessings to you and your family

Altosana is a place of rest and ease, to connect with nature and the people you go with. The house is a typical country house, with charm yet spotless clean. The bathrooms and bedrooms are as pristine as a hotel’s. The game room has all kinds of board games. The lower level is spacious enough for a get together. It has a BBQ and a bonfire. The natural landscape is stunning. Despite being on a very rural area I consider it very easy to access. Will be back! Keep supporting our local hosts for an authentic stay at the heart of the island

This place is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for our anniversary away! Omar went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and set up with balloons and a small cake and champagne with snacks for our anniversary. The hot tub was fantastic and the tub was amazing once we figured out how to make it warm. The outdoor shower was fun I felt like something was watching me and turned around to a coqui staring at me! I’ve looked for one for soooo long! Multiple trips to the island and I finally got my coqui! There’s not a lot to do in the local area but there’s enough and we honestly enjoyed just staying there in the house. It’s definitely worth it!

My favorite airbnb I've stayed in. trails were pretty over grown so I had to chop my way through with a machete which actually added to the fun a bit. I definitely realized how difficult it must be to actually maintain a large piece of land like this. First thing I found was a fallen over bannana tree and I've been eating 8 bannanas a day since and I feel great. I found a cacao tree and had a nice raw cacao which was one of the best I've tasted. the rose apples tasted really good too. lots of bugs on them which you never see in the grocery store, everything felt natural and real. There was no AC and at first I was a bit annoyed but once it was about 10pm the breeze came in from the windows and I slept really well. My first night back home sleeping with AC doesn't feel as good as the natural mountain air cooling me off Great Trip with lots of hacienda around.
