What a beautiful little cabin. Cosy and in the most beautiful setting. Grace was very helpful and friendly. Very comfortable beds. Will definitely be back.

This is our second time staying here, we love how private and peaceful it is, especially sitting out on the balcony listening to the stream and the birds. Plenty of places to eat and enjoy locally. Excellent host. Highly recommended

This was my first experience being I the countryside and it will not be my last. I loved our stay and did not want to go back home to hustle and bustle of London life. The cabin was beautiful, squeaky clean and had all the amenities needed. The welcome cake was a lovely gift and tasted amazing. I will be back again for sure!

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous 2 night stay. The cottage is beautiful and has everything you need, very cosy, clean and comfortable with plenty of space for both of us. Lovely outside seating area through the bedroom patio doors where we could appreciate the beauty garden and wildlife. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great night sleep! Shower was spot on with instant hot water. Supermarkets (Lidl and Booths) are a short drive away and Deliveroo and Just Eat deliver so there’s lots of choice for take away in case you don’t want to make use of the fab kitchen set up. WiFi was fast and we had no issues with mobile phone signal. The hosts were truly 5 star! They were very helpful and friendly without being intrusive. They kindly let us charge our EV car which was a god send after a 5 1/2 hour drive. The hosts even went the extra mile by offering us a lift to Ormskirk train station so we could get to Aintree Race Course! Highly recommend a stay here! A**

This place is a jewel on the Airbnb site and perfect in every way. It has everything done to the highest speck you could ask for. The host could do no more for you. The bed was so comfortable that we slept for hours and hours. It had everything we needed and a bonus of being offered warm scones too❤️

We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely be staying again. It’s something different and so peaceful! We sat outside and lit a fire and looked out at the amazing views. Thankyou so much for our stay we can’t wait to come back!

Really lovely spot. I went with my two kids and the space was great. We built a fire and kicked a ball about. Because we are guests we could play in the playground till late which was great! Will be back for another small getaway.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner who was lambing. We were shown lambs that were 15 minutes old! Very friendly owners who are clearly passionate about what they do. The shepherds hut was very clean throughout and very cosy with the underfloor heating. The little personal touches throughout really made the place feel homely. We walked into town which didn't take long and found a great selection of pubs and food available, as advertised. Attached to the side of the hut their was a little sheltered area with the wood burning stove and BBQ. Even in a cold wind, this area was toasty with the burner on. Even if the weather turned, you'd be fine having a BBQ outside here. All in all, a brilliant little place that we will be returning to

Absolutely spotless, so clean and tidy. Lots of extra bedding, blankets and sheets. The caravan smelt so lovely and was very well equipt with lots of plates, glasses, cutlery and everything we needed!! There were 2 adults and 6 children and we had lots of space! Diane was a great host and we cant wait to stay again!

Hiking the Pennine Way Gillian’s place is only about a 1/4 mile off the trail, and a short walk back into town. Easy to find and convenient. Gillian was very responsive and friendly. The unit was clean and comfortable. Overall a great place to stay!

Very peaceful and quiet location to get away from the busy city life. Helpful book of local area, walk ideas and places to visit. Very responsive but also left us alone to enjoy the peaceful environment.

We had a lovely time away! Barry and Helen were brilliant hosts, we couldn’t fault it. Views were amazing and the place was cosy, clean and everything you needed ! We would definitely recommend and return ourselves.

Derek and Kath are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome even before we arrived. Ruby's hut is an absolute gem - its clean, spacious and in a stunning location with lovely views. It has everything you need for your stay, with good WiFi and large TV with the usual streaming services. We particularly liked the BBQ hut which is ideal in all weather conditions and makes for a cosy place to eat and chill in addition to the main hut. The surroundings are fantastic with plenty of walks in all directions. Derek is a gent and an exemplary host who is responsive to any needs but also respects guests privacy - the ideal balance. The hot tub / jacuzzi was great and we also had a fire pit and gas BBQ, so everything you need. Overall we had an exceptional stay and it's only a matter of time before we visit again. Absolutely gorgeous place to stay, a nice king size bed , spotless throughout with beautiful surroundings. Angela was extremely friendly and flexible. I wish we'd booked a few more nights here.

Just the break away we needed! Sarah’s place was absolutely spotless and everything has been carefully thought out. The bathroom is beautifully decorated and the kitchen area makes a great use of space. We had a lovely night inside, playing games with some (much needed) drinks and listening to the radio. Equally, a gorgeous evening on night two at a local pub. Arriving to a baked loaf and milk in the fridge was very much appreciated as we forgot to bring either! Stanley 🐾 enjoyed his treats too was grateful of the water bowl provided - as we also forgot his 🫣! Overall, the place is stunning inside and out. Sarah was proactive with check in/out detail and was a fab host. We’d love to stay again!

We had the most gorgeous stay at the hut! From the moment we arrived Victoria was a wonderful and friendly host, she shows us to the accommodation and made sure that we felt settled and happy! The hut was so cosy but bigger than we expected, and very spacious! It was clean and pristine from top to bottom and the bed was super duper comfy! We really appreciated the snacks, drinks and treats left for us to enjoy! The hut felt very private and the gardens that it’s located in were beautiful. It’s a short walk to town and we adored our stay here, and will definitely be returning! Thank you so much Victoria 🥰

Excellent location, very clean and lovely accommodation. Had a toddler and baby with us and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The site itself had everything needed to keep us all entertained. We will be booking to return again soon.

This property was beautiful, and as described. I would go as far as saying it exceeded our expectations. It felt like a home from home. We visited with our dog and a lovely touch was the dog basket with blankets, towels and treats. It was spotlessly clean and had all the little things that you seem to forget when going away for a few days (salt, pepper, cleaning products). The host was very attentive and sent us so much information beforehand (where to visit, eat, local shops etc.) The property was situated in a quiet area with a little pond opposite us, it was lovely to see the ducks plodding along throughout the day. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants a few days relaxation, sight seeing and peace and quiet to give this property a go!

Absolutely gorgeous place! The pool was amazing and so warm. Everything we needed in the most beautiful surroundings. An absolute hidden gem. Will definitely be going again. Mike and his family were so lovely, welcoming and accommodating. We wish we had booked for longer. All the facilities were to such a high standard and really clean. Can’t wait to go back!

Stayed two nights at Laura's with my son for my birthday. Beautiful location, fantastic cabin, well equipped, clean and cosy. Great location for things to see and do. Spent the day at Leighton Moss, a few miles away, which is great. Highly recommend this beautiful place. Particularly enjoyed the bench by the lake watching the birds and the baby Coots. Martins place was perfect for us as our grandson lives in Kendal, so we could have him to stay as a little holiday at half term but was close enough to his parents to commute if needed. We found everything we needed there, home from home and the communication from Martin was excellent. Don’t hesitate to stay there. Thank you.

Beautiful shepherds hut with amazing views!! Emma was so helpful and v welcoming. The hut was well equipped, warm and cosy. We stayed to climb up Ingleborough and for my husband’s birthday and it was the perfect retreat!

Great place to relax and just do what you want. Can get local takeaways delivered straight to the main gate. Has a grill and oven that heats up on the grill to do pizza. Beer/Wine fridge. All kitchen utensils provided, towels, robes. Great Jacuzzi, however we went when it was red hot ( still got in it). We slept outside on the big bed watching the big sceeen. Highly recommended.
