Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Lake County

It is a great place to stay and explore attractions around Summer Lake or Christmas Valley. The place is better than the photos depict. A nice private place to stay if you are visiting south-central Oregon with friends and family.

I don’t want to say too many good things about this place. I need it to still be available on our next golfing & Cowboy Dinner Tree trip.

I took 2 of my grandsons, 9 & 13 years old. It was quiet, right next to the water. I got to relax and they fished from sun up to sun down. The home was just as expected, comfortable, clean & with everything we needed. Mark & Lisa were available whenever we needed anything. We will go back, my oldest grandson didn’t want to go home.

My husband & I really enjoyed our stay with our pups! Carly is a great host 😊 definitely recommend this beautiful home!

Lovely, place. We loved being so far away, to see this part of Oregon especially as it constitutes the Basin and Range province. In reading the reviews, i want to comment on three things: 1) Summer Lake is seasonal, so dry in part/most of the summer. No swimming, boating, fishinhg —— all OK with us and fine with us given our geology interests. But, we would have like to walk to the beach. We could not find a path. Just be aware. 2) There is NOTHING nearby. So bring any foods you want, as well as any storage containers or Saran Wrap etc. 3) Some folks complained about the heat in the summer. The hosts have been in large window ACs and many fans to cool the home. We were there in mid June and i thought it was fine. My companion thought it still somewhat difficult to sleep even in the BR on bottom floor with window AC. Also, the AC units are loud. Some silence in this remote area would be wonderful. Overall, i would stay here again, but with attention to the likely weather.

Cam and Christine are so knowledgeable and excited to share the beautiful environs, including information about the Oregon Desert Trail. The area is listed as a”dark sky” site, where you can star gaze deep into the night sky. And amazing birdsong in the mornings! Lovely cabin in a forested setting.

Troy's place was excellent!! it was by far the best one we have stayed at recently. the place had way more towels, linens, and cooking utensils than I ever expected! A perfect place to go back to again and again. He was very friendly and always happy to answer my questions as well!!

What a beautiful home and location! The view is incomparable, and we saw lots of wildlife...trumpeter swans, a herd of pronghorn, mule deer, a coyote, eagles, and lots of waterfowl. The home was lovely and spacious and exactly as described with a very well-stocked kitchen. The wood-burning oven kept us so cozy! Highly recommend this place.

Great location out of town. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. The views of the valley and surrounding mountains were beautiful. We really enjoyed bird watching in the front and back yard. Kitchen was tidy and well equipped; we cooked breakfast every day and dinner most of the time. The bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets, bathroom was well stocked. Seating area is cozy and comfortable. We sat outside at the picnic table for every meal we were there. Watched birds and ground squirrels; the giant sprinkle in the field, and the rare vehicle drive by. All from the front and back yard. Stayed awake long enough 1 night to see the stars!

Nice place to stay for a work trip. Peaceful setting not far from town. Sheila was very friendly and a great host!

Fantastic stay! What a little gem of a place so happily situated in Christmas Valley. Last year I had a great experience in Mark’s adjacent Goose home so I tried the Aspen this time and had an equally good stay. Everything was pristine and comfortable. Mark is a very helpful and pleasant host and I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again – and look forward to it.

Once again the house was perfect for our needs taking care of our gemstone claims! Plenty of what we needed and the place is well stocked and thought out.
