Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Laikipia County

Wizzy and John’s cabin was fantastic! We traveled with kids (10, 7, and 3), and they had plenty to keep them entertained within the compound, especially with the stables right next to the A-frame cabin. We also enjoyed a walk to the Mau Mau cave with Simon, the guide, who was incredible. Wizzy was a wonderful host—kind, responsive, and quick to address a minor issue with hot water and power, which was resolved . Overall, we had a great experience, and my kids even rated it their second favorite holiday! I’d definitely return.

We were warmly received, a hot bowl of butternut soup included 😁. The place felt homely and plenty of space all around. Our host was extremely helpful and detail oriented leaving us with a very positive experience. Did I mention there's a kitchen garden!

The Landing is an exquisite haven of tranquility and privacy. The photos simply cannot capture its true beauty. From the cottage, you’re treated to stunning views of Mt. Kenya, creating a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The place was clean and thoughtfully prepared for our stay. I enjoyed a truly wonderful weekend and will definetly return. Anne was incredibly responsive and accommodating, addressing all our needs seamlessly. The staff was also exceptionally helpful, ensuring that every request was met. A beautiful place for sure and worth the experience.

Ol jorok cabins exceeded all our expectations and delivered an unforgettable experience! From the very beginning, Sara went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. When we encountered car troubles on our way, she stepped in immediately, sending assistance and ensuring we were well taken care of. Her communication was flawless throughout. The cabins themselves are simply stunning—far better than the photos! The ambiance is serene and inviting, truly a home away from home. Surrounded by fresh air and absolute tranquility, it’s the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I can’t wait to return and will wholeheartedly recommend Ol Jorok Cabins to family and friends as the ideal getaway spot. A special mention goes to Peter, the chef recommended by Sara—he was absolutely incredible! Every meal was a delight, with top-notch flavors that we thoroughly enjoyed each day. Elizabeth’s place was AMAZING! The place is much better than the photos. Extremely clean, safe and very well taken care of. You have a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to be ready to cook. Also in this place is where l had the best hot shower so far. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to stop at Nanyuki and visit mount Kenya & Ngare Ndare Forest. 100% recommend 💚

Absolutely a beautiful place close to the Kenya Aberdare National Park. The staff and property is perfect for camp like housing in the bush. If you want a bit more inclusive, they do have a 3 bedroom new hotel on the property with a pool. The property offers 3 other bungalows giving you the experience of the bush. Everything was secure, any amenities required outside the property, the staff obliged to get and they had laundry service in Site that was great after the safari outing!

Ben's place is paradise. I joked to him that his place is the Eden. We got there late; the place was very ready for us. A crackling fire set the warmth. It felt like a second honeymoon. I went to paradise and never wanted to leave.

I loved my stay here. I was looking for somewhere quiet and this was exactly the place. I loved walking to the lake, sitting by the fire in the evening. Everyone was also super helpful. Alex gave us a recommendation for local hidden gems and this made the trip even better. The beds in the cabin are comfortable, kitchen has a basic table-top stove which works esp if you are making light meals. Living room furniture is okay. Works. Porch is my fav. We had hot water. This cabin is also private (there are other cabins in the compound). If you don’t want to cook there is a restaurant nearby, you can walk there for food or ask them to deliver.
