The cabin is located in Saltibus St Lucia at the forest's edge. A waterfall is located on the property just a minutes walk from the cabin and you can relax in peace with just the sound of the nearby stream and birds breaking the silence. Tours of the property can be done by the gardener Lambert, if you ask him nicely (don't forget to tip him please). Please travel light due to the steep walk down and back and Lambert can assist if he is around.

This is a spacious delightful apartment with a fantastic panoramic view of the south of the island. The super king four poster bed is exceptionally comfortable. Laborie village is 15 minutes away on foot but remember the apartment is up a hill which was not a problem for us. Laborie has more amenities than we expected and a picturesque beach.

Uta and her daughters were absolutely lovely. The place is glorious, private, and unique. Felt as if we were in a beautiful tree house. Super private, secluded, and special. Solid Wifi, not sure if good for Zooms, but mostly great. If you want to go to longer beaches or do other local activitites, you will need a car, or to take local taxis. Otherwise, absolutely phenomenal! Thank you, Uta and daughters, for an amazing stay!

Balenbouche Estate is special. It has a peaceful feeling around it, and is maintained thoughtfully within the surroundings. It’s a beautiful place with historic significance but more than that, it’s a family home. Uta and her family made us feel so at home and are so generous with their time. We hope to return in the future.

We just had the best week here! We were looking for quiet and peaceful and this place was just that…it’s absolutely beautiful and serene! The cottages are simple and while not fancy, it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved having coffee on our porch each morning with the sounds of the birds and being surrounded by the beauty of nature was so peaceful. You can walk down to 2 beaches, both gorgeous and perfect for watching the sunset. The whole property was beautiful and you can tour the old mill and structures as you walk around. As far as location, you are near the town of Soufrière with some good restaurants and within a 25 min drive of some beautiful beaches that are off the beaten path, the Pitons, some good hiking and other beautiful spots. Uta and her staff were kind and welcoming and helpful and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Uta and her daughter run a beautiful and peaceful Airbnb. They were both very responsive and gave us great recommendations and help when needed. The cottage was so adorable, cozy, and unique. The kitchen on the back patio was perfect for morning coffee and evening dinners. Uta provided breakfast and it was alway very good and lovely to sit on the porch. There are several dogs and cats on the property but they were friendly and fun to have around. The property is like a mini-rain forest with lots of trees and plants. The Yoga barn was a favorite and a very cool to practice. The property is also very close to two secluded beaches but be prepared to hike down to them. I have never seen a more beautiful sunset over the ocean. Because this is an open space, there were lots of lizards, birds, and insects. There was a mosquito net over the bed, but remember to bring good insect repellant and anti-itch cream. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and wonderful hosts. I would go back for sure

First off Joyce was the warmest and politest person. My fiancé and I stayed in her home and made us feel welcomed and showed us around the town of Laborie. It was so nice that she arranged the Taxi pick up to her home. The home is clean, although a little warm (there is a fan in the bedroom), and was also nice that it was just a 5 minute walk from the main road to take the buses around the island since we didn't rent a car (and feel we really didn't need one unless planing to travel at night). Laborie itself was such a nice place to stay in, the beaches are beautiful, and not touristic. It is a little piece of paradise that we got to enjoy. The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk, but a pleasant one, everyone in the town is kind and we enjoyed strolling around the town. Thank you Joyce for having us! We enjoyed meeting you and hope to come back to you!
