Set in the heart of Verteuil a petite citie de caractere in the Charente we welcome you to Ma jolie petite maison, a one double bedroomed gite that sleeps 4. The building is over 200 years old and has been completely refurbished in 2024. With exposed stone walls and original fireplaces, lit by vintage French chandeliers and tasteful wall lights, the gite is both cosy and comfortable. During your stay you will have exclusive use of the heated swimming pool and a large Moroccan style barn.

Bumblebee Cottage is part of a suite of cottages at Gites Rue Du Chateau. It has direct access to its own covered terrace, overlooking the spacious gardens, woodland and pretty stream. Facilities include, a pool, BBQ and outside kitchen with dining terrace and cosy fire pit area. A boules area and plenty of space for traditional garden games. Surprisingly peaceful but within walking distance of cafes, bakeries, shops and market. Local activities include the Rejallant Canoeing Centre.

Come and discover our hiking trails, our river walks as well as various activities (canoeing, fishing...) Come and relax in a typical country house in the countryside, at the end of a small cul-de-sac. 10 min from shops (Super U, bakery, etc.). The cottage is located in Caunay in the south of Deux-Sèvres, with quick access to the N10: - Futuroscope (45 minutes) - Marais Poitevin (1 hour) - Angoulême (45 min) - La Rochelle (1.5 hours) As well as many walks and tours (parks, castles, etc.)

Very good location on the Poitiers(50min), Angouleme(35min), Niort(1h),and Limoges(1h15). 3 minutes from all shops. 2 minutes ( by car ) from a pond with a snack in summer as well as a supervised swim. Also 2 minutes away is a restaurant (closed on Mondays) as well as a bakery and 2 grocery stores. Our home located in the countryside will bring you peace and quiet and a change of scenery.
