We have just come back from spending nine unforgettable nights at Penzhorn Rest Cottage and it exceeded all of our expectations - even better than the photos! Zonja, our host, welcomed us warmly on arrival and was so accommodating to make sure we were happy throughout our stay. Her hospitality has honestly blown us away! The highlight of our stay was the daily sight and sound of the river with nightly hippo visitors which added such a magical touch to our stay, immersing us in the beauty and awe of the African bush. Whether enjoying a coffee while reading by the river or relaxing in the ‘bosbad’ every moment felt really special to us! Zonja’s meticulous eye for detail was evident in the small touches around the cottage which made us feel right at home. This is a haven for nature lovers seeking a luxurious yet authentic escape. If you decide to book this listing you won’t be disappointed! We left feeling rejuvenated and are already looking forward to returning!

Great stay for 2 people right on Seekoei laan on the Crocodile River. We had great sightings, beautiful sunsets and a great time in general.

Chris and Zed were gracious, thoughtful hosts. More importantly, their cottage was stellar accomodation. Far better than the pictures suggest. The kitchen was well equipped, bedding was extremely comfy. We were delighted to have a washing machine. But above all the best thing about this place is that river view. Wow! Being able to see the Kruger from our room itself was such a treat. Would stay again 10/10

The chalet is perfect for couples, the kitchen has all the cooking utensils you would need. The bedroom is spacious and our patio overlooked the swimming pool. What an awesome view. You can relax in the pool with a drink and spot animals through the Kruger fence. Christine was on the ball from the time we booked to the time we checked out. Will definitely be back!!

We were a group of people, family and friends. The house was cozy and well maintained, amnesties was nice clean and beds was comfortable. We had an amazing time, especially enjoying the breathtaking views from the terrace and balcony where we had a view of Krüger and sneak peak of the wildlife in and around the river. Giraffes, elephants etc. We will definitely be back when we have to visit Krüger again and greet all the happy spirited and friendly staff.

An amazing gem overlooking crocodile river and Kruger Park. The house was exactly as presented in the photos and was truly a little slice of paradise. We watched elephants, crocs, hippos, and all sorts of antelope from the luxury of the deck. Amazing game drives in Mjejane as well. House staff and game driver were lovely, super friendly and helpful. A great place to go as a family or with a group of friends - all of the bedrooms were gorgeous with very large private bathrooms. The design of the house was very charming. We will definitely visit again!

Endlovu was an absolutely stunning stay, I booked it specifically because of its proximity to the river, and it did not disappoint. The family was out the door every morning early, a mere 30 second walk to the Crocodile river front. The house itself is extremely spacious, lovely rooms all ensuite, clean and the winner is the upstairs deck where we spent all our time. The kitchen was not only well equipped but with very good quality pots and pans, appliances and crockery/cutlery, I was very pleased indeed about this! The pool we did not use, as it was too cold but I can imagine on the hot summer days would be the perfect touch especially for families with children. We would certainly stay again, Marloth park neve disappoints!

We loved our stay at Anton’s place! Will definitely recommend. This will definitely not be our last stay at Anton’s place! The house is beautiful & so peaceful! The view is amazing & the whole lodge has plenty to offer for the kids. The restaurant was one for the books! Just an absolute pleasure to stay there. You won’t be disappointed.

This was a great and peaceful get away for my family and I. Great and peaceful space, animals walking around, beautiful property with a modern design. We truly enjoyed our stay there, different restaurants and activities to do around the property and the overall experience.

The location is absolutely serene—nestled in nature and right near a peaceful lake, it offered the perfect escape from the city. The house itself was spotless and beautifully maintained, equipped with everything we needed to feel right at home. A big thank you to our amazing host, Sherilee, for her warm hospitality and for making the booking and check-in process so smooth. Also, special thanks to Ashton, the caretaker, who was always friendly, helpful, and ensured our stay was comfortable throughout. This place is a hidden gem—perfect for families looking for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway. We would love to return and highly recommend it to others!

Pictures don't capture the beauty and essence of this home! Modern and rustic deco, giving a sense of home away from home. Well equipped kitchen, with a patio that brings you closer to the splendor of the bush. Bedrooms offered a tranquil and peaceful space to unwind after a lazy day of lounging. From the comfort of the pool and deck, we spotted hippos, buffalos, elephants, various types of buck and birds on the river bank. No need for binoculars. Certainly recommend this home if you are looking for a beautiful and tranquil home in the bush!

This was just what the dr ordered. Beautiful little cottage with the most beautiful surroundings. Dee is a most gracious host. very friendly and helpful. The cottage has everything that one needs - fully equiped kitchen, comfortable chairs and a little oven that makes the living room nice and toasty. This is highly recommended if you want to sit back and relax!
