Elsa's house is the perfect place to stay while exploring the golden circle and south of Iceland. The house is very cosy but definitely not too small for a family of five, well equipped and in walking distance from the beach. The hot tub is just amazing and also has a really great view. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute of it.

Lovely place if you are looking for some peace and quiet. It’s also a good location to see the Northern Lights - they were right above us!

We loved our stay at this house! Spent two nights in Reykjavik and this was a great spot to walk to everything. Neighborhood felt safe, we let our teens walk home at night by themselves. House was adorable, everything as described and very comfortable. Loved the character and charm of an older home! Bjorn was responsive and I would stay here again. Thanks!

The pictures for this house do it no justice - the place is absolutely beautiful! Very spacious with tons of light. Incredibly clean. Heated tile floors which keep the whole house warm. Ólafur is very hospitable. He provides thorough instructions and is super responsive if you have any additional questions. (We learned when using the stove/hot plate that you have to put a pan on it first so it can heat because there needs to be weight present to activate.) Our flights arrived early in the morning and he let us check in early and check out an hour late. We had an amazing time in Iceland and when we return we will be booking this house. This was our family's 4th trip to Iceland and this is by far our favorite place we've stayed at. Words cannot describe how beautiful the setting is. The views of the lake & mountains are absolutely amazing! The cabin is charming and has two large bay windows which provide spectacular views. We felt right at home here. When I had a question, Gudrun was quick to respond. We loved the location. It's private & tucked away in a beautiful area but only 25 minute drive from my friend's house in Mosfellbaer, a lovely town of approximately 15,000 people and has a grocery store and restaurants. The cabin is only a 45 minute drive from Reykjavik. The icing on the cake is that we got to see the northern lights from the cabin! I definitely plan on staying here again in the future.

Matti was very responsive and helpful. Check-in and check-out were very easy. His place is near the airport.

Our stay was perfect. The cabin was great and exactly as shown in the pictures. The place was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances for a small kitchen. Eggert was quick to respond and check-in was easy and smooth. Great overall experience and would definitely recommend this place.

If you are looking for a comfortable, affordable stay in Reykjavik, this is the place for you. Great amenities including a large back yard, large living space with a Smart TV and playstation, and a fireplace. Kitchen with everything needed to cook for yourself and avoid the pricey Reykjavik Restaurant scene. Located on a quiet street with easy access to the highway (rental car recommended for sure).

The directions given to us for getting from the airport to the apartment were concise and easy to follow. Checking in was an easy process thanks to the instructions given to us. The apartment was well presented, very clean and warm. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. It was a ten minute walk to the old town where there were many restaurants and bars. We’d definitely stay in this apartment again.

A lovely cabin in peaceful surroundings — the perfect place to recharge and enjoy a relaxing holiday. Highly recommended!

Asta was so helpful with local recommendations, and her house was clean welcoming. We had everything we needed right at our fingertips. The sauna and hot tub were great for relaxing. The location was perfectly central for exploring the Reykjavik peninsula.

Location was perfect for sightseeing near and far. The airbnb was very comfortable and warm with a well equipped kitchen. Trausti was a great host. I would highly recommend this place.

Cosy studio within walking distance of restaurants and attractions. Plenty of parking on the street if you’re looking to rent a car. Loved the water pressure makes for such a refreshing shower. As described cosy and tucked away. Will book again when we return

Spent one week at Asta's place with my partner. Great location that was a short walk to the city center. The space was perfect for two people and the check-in was easy. Would absolutely stay again if we go back to Reykjavik.

The apartment was beautiful and very comfortable, even for a longer stay. It was comfortable and spacious, with plenty of storage space. It was easy to feel right at home! Loved the view of the garden which backed up to a quiet neighborhood parked. I even saw the northern lights from the apartment windows a few times. The apartment has a great location with access to shops and the bus lines to head downtown or to Reykjavik's many attractions. Siggi was very welcoming and helpful when I had questions. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice, spacious and comfy apartment, good location. We liked the quirkyness and the style as there are many unusual paintings and lots of plants inside. The kitchen is very well equipped and is perfect for cooking. Eilífur was kind to wait for us to show us around the place even though our flight got delayed. City centre is 10-15 min walk, there are three big supermarkets 10 mins walk from the house. We would love to come back one day.

Good location 10-15 mins easy walk into town. Simple to find and park on the street outside (for free) Powerful shower and comfortable main bedroom bed with a variety of pillows. Also the first Airbnb I have rented where leaving my washing up was expected/came under the cleaning fee along with putting bins out etc. Brilliant! Made for a much more relaxed departure. Be aware the glass is single pane in all windows so on very cold evenings (it was -8 plus windchill when I arrived) it was a little cool for me in the apartment even with the radiators all whacked right up. However, generally more than warm enough.

Jette’s house is ideally located to get into Reykjavík and to get out into the absolutely stunning countryside. Located just of the motorway But well soundproofed and superbly insulated you certainly won’t get cold. Jette stayed in contact just enough but felt approachable at the same time. Plenty of grocery shops around so you can cook in the well equipped kitchen. By car it takes about 5-10 mins to get into the old town. Have fun.

It is a cozy, warm, comfortable, and convenient apartment—perfect for our family of four. It was really nice to be able to relax and cook some easy dinners in this apartment after our long days exploring the areas around Reykjavik. Thanks for providing us with three good nights in your nice apartment.
