Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Kokatahi

As a TA hiker, it was a FANTASTIC place to take rest from the trail. The house is in a quiet area but close to the stores and restaurants. The garden was stunning. The house had everything we needed.

We loved staying at Kate’s. Mingling with the other people camping/glamping in the communal areas was great. The house was perfect for our group.

Forest Lodge is the perfect get away for large groups. Huge kitchen, well equipped with anything you would need to feed an army. And great, cosy lounge. We were worried the bedrooms would be cold, but by following the instructions all went well and we were all toastie… no snow for us this time, but we look forward to coming back again next year! quiet little cottage that had everything we needed. well stocked and Sarah even prepared extra food (if we needed it, with an honesty box). charming! kumara is a small one street town.

Great place for our family to stay. Walking distance to the heart of Reefton. Outside area was fabulous. Clean and comfortable house.

We loved our stay at Tamsin’s place! A beautiful, modern, comfortable house. 10 min walk to the centre of town. Easy and peaceful stay for us and extra bonus points as our dog was welcome too.

Great spot, awesome set up for large group of people / family to spend time away together. super warm in summer.

Such a gorgeous spot. Throughly enjoyed our stay, if peace and quiet is what you're after then t his location is perfect. Fully fenced section so perfect for dogs. Comes with a cheeky wee Weka family and a cute friendly fantail. Home now feeling recharged and we will definitely return. Many thanks. M & T Enright

We didn't quite realise how great this place was, we were looking for a last minute place to stay near Arthur's pass which coincided with the Easter holidays unintentionally, this place was amazing and even had a campervan site which meant our friends travelling along side us were able to camp here too, which didn't realise until we arrived. Barrie greeted us with fresh eggs and tomatoes upon arrival which was a lovely touch. The weather was a little rubbish to explore Cass settlement but such a cool place to stay and so peaceful, except the odd train passing through. Only a 25 minute drive away from Arthur's pass village and even closer for Castle hill. The cottage was extremely clean with a full kitchen, great shower, heater and very comfy bed. You will need to bring your own supplies as there's not a super market for at least 80km. Would definitely stay again if we return to NZ

We loved our stay at this property. A wonderful homely and spacious home with all the facilities you could want. The hosts were very friendly and responsive and helpful. An awesome base for exploring the West Coast (we went as far north as pancake rocks and as far south as Franz Josef - the drives were beautiful). We loved the close proximity to the beach and the amazing sunsets. Hokitika beach is so stunning we had so much fun. Would love to stay here again in the future.

Absolutely stunning, comfortable home in gorgeous surroundings. The outdoor bath was a winner and Lisa was so helful and fast to reply. I stayed at Lisa's with four friends over Christmas and everyone absolutely loved it. Highly reccommend, andvwould love to stay again.

What a stunning house! I absolutely loved my stay here. It’s perfectly located near Castle Hill rocks and a charming, cozy village. I highly recommend Robert’s house if you’re planning to hike in Arthur’s Pass. Everything was clean, fresh-smelling, and well-kept — no musty or muddy odors at all. A truly wonderful place to stay!

Wow... That was our main word for this stay. The location and view was incredible. It instantly felt like a real relaxing getaway. We noticed some issues around cleanliness that I will share directly with the host so that they are aware, as this place deserves the best! The hot tub was an absolute highlight. Such a friendly and responsive host to chat to online. We had a fabulous time here and we definitely hope to return to this oasis on the hill!
