A quiet place great for single traveler~Daisuke-san gave enough information about the surroundings. He also took me to see fireflies which only show up 3 weeks in a year. Have already planned for next visit on Spring for the cherry blossom. Hope the damaged railway will be repaired soon.

Tajimi Guest House 円空

The space was beautiful and very tranquil. Backs onto a river and is incredible peaceful. It is very out of the way and inconvenient to get to. Enkuu offered an onsen pass which took over an hour to walk to. And is cash only. (Please note) Just do your research for surrounding activities before you book. Nonetheless, a very beautiful home

Yanagiya at castle town:private room A, 6 tatami

This is a great place to stay - Yukie-san was very helpful and kind and the location is perfect for walking, cycling and exploring. There's a great place to eat (and drink!) called Tono just around the corner too! The former dying workshop has been very well restored as accommodation. There are e-bikes available to rent for a very nominal fee too. I hope to come again.
A grilling surface features a variety of food items including sausages, slices of meat, and vegetables such as carrots and onions arranged around the edges. A hand can be seen holding a skewer with food, suggesting an interactive dining experience.

We had a very pleasant time! Thank you for being flexible with the check-in time! It was a very nice environment with plenty of nature and refreshing. This time it was a hectic stay, but I really liked Shizuoka, so I want to go more slowly next time.☺️

Thank you very much. Both couples were very kind and learned a lot about hospitality. My mistake made the mistake of picking me up at the wrong station, but they were flexible. The food is really delicious and the service is great.😳 Thank you very much!

Room Only Small Single/Non-Smoking for 1

Very convenient hotel to stay in, if you want to visit Korankei or go to Ghibli Park. It's litterally behind the train station. There is a nice coffee place in front of the hotel, Aeon Mall 15 minutes by foot, and good restaurants 8 minutes by foot. You are also close to the different museums of Toyota (which are very nice), either by foot or train. The room is simple but nice, many free beauty and cleaning samples. I couldn't try the Onsen because of my tattoos (they don't accept fashion tattoos either), but that was my fault not to check in advance. The staff is very kind, even if my Japanese is not good. I highly recommend if you need a stay in the area !

A guest house in a traditional house that is over 150 years old

ZoltánRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Staying here was truly unforgettable. The house itself was one of the most unique and beautiful places we’ve ever stayed in — full of traditional charm and peaceful atmosphere. But what made our experience truly special were our incredible hosts, Miki-san and Mariko-san. Their kindness and generosity were simply unbelievable. We had the chance to enjoy many “firsts” during our stay: we experienced our very first tea ceremony, led and taught by them with so much care and knowledge. We also wore kimonos for the first time in our lives — and not just any kimonos, but stunning pure silk ones, which made the whole experience even more meaningful. We are deeply grateful for everything. This stay was far more than just accommodation — it was a cultural journey guided by two truly wonderful people.

Experience country life in a 130-year-old house in the mountains

KazuoRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I had a great stay that I can only do here. The host is an architectural researcher, but he is passionate not only about architecture, but also for research on public baths and the town of Toei-machi. They stayed with me late at night and shared a story about the town of Higashiei-machi that I could not hear elsewhere.I was very impressed by the rich experience. I was somewhat thinking that I wanted to contribute to the town where I was from in the future, but the host's perspectives, experiences, practical efforts, and ways of thinking were very helpful, and I was able to learn a lot. This stay was a valuable experience for me as well as the whole family. The children also learned a lot through this trip. The host carefully listened to the children's stories early in the morning and told us how to use the fireplace, which was a valuable experience for the children. The children said, "I enjoyed staying at this inn the most!"I had a memorable time. I spent time in front of a warm wood-burning fireplace, and the toast of breakfast was tens of times more delicious than usual. We had a one-of-a-kind experience for our entire family to grow and learn. I also enjoyed sightseeing in Aichi Prefecture such as Ghibli Park, but the children "I enjoyed spending time at this inn the most!"I say. This experience has been an incredible memory for our family, and we feel that everyone has grown.Thank you so much for your heartwarming hospitality.Would love to visit again!
