Vacation rentals in Kitagocho Gonohara

The facility was animal friendly, and I was happy that I was able to stay with two dogs.It was also a nice exterior and interior.There were many rooms, and we stayed with four families and 6 people, but everything was air-conditioned and the bed was beautiful.There was also a BBQ facility, and I was grateful for the charcoal service and help with the fire.Also, the owner was very personable and very kind, and the check-in time was flexible, which was helpful.It was an unforgettable summer memory, so we would like to stay again!

The space is comfortable and really makes you feel right at home with it's coastal vibe! Close to the bus stop connecting you directly to the Miyazaki airport, and full of local spots to access.

Perfect retreat! Super cute and cosy decor, the house has a lot of extras you do not normally get with rentals. Super friendly and helpful host. Went well beyond expectations to make sure we felt right at home. Best stay of our trip

We had a wonderful stay! The place is only a couple minutes walk to the beach. Came with 3 longboards and 2 bikes with board carriers. Next door SeeU has wetsuits and other gear for rent. The place is a retired restaurant with a large professional grade kitchen. So making meals was so easy compared to some of the other stays we’ve experienced in Japan. Highly recommend this place and the town of Aoshima is charming with a few surf breaks around. Lineups are empty and the area is super chill. If we’re ever in Miyazaki again we’re staying here 100%.

We had the most magical stay in this absolutely charming village. The location is a dream—just a few steps from the beach, where we spent our mornings and evenings soaking up the views. The home itself is a total gem—thoughtfully designed, maintained with love, and filled with such a cozy, inviting energy. From the moment we walked in, we felt completely at ease and right at home. And the hosts? Truly the sweetest people ever! They've thought of every little detail to make your stay feel effortless and special. Their kindness, attentiveness, and seamless communication made everything feel smooth and stress-free. We felt genuinely cared for. Everyone in the village was so welcoming and kind too. You don’t need a car to stay here (although it is more convenient). We were able to explore the coast by train. The views from the train were stunning. We can’t recommend this place enough and are already dreaming of our return.

We loved our stay at Mariko’s place. It had lots of space and felt very homely. The kitchen is very well stocked and the bathroom is lovely, with great views of the harbour from the bath. Mariko was a fantastic and very responsive host. She also recommended local places for lunch/dinner. The neighbours are very friendly too.
