Vacation rentals in Kita Ward

Stayed for 2 nights. The house was easy to find with the Google maps location provided by the host. Self check in was straight forward. Private parking lot available but the space is quite tight. The house is as pictured. Basic amenities all provided. Location was good. A convenience store around 100m away. About 25-30min walk to the castle. Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay very well

The place and the location are both fantastic. It is extremely good value for money compared with our other accommodation in Kyushu. The onsen is great. Beds are comfy. Place is warm. View is spectacular. Close to kurokawa onsen town. Close to ski fields. Easy access from beppu (with winter tyres) For access: In winter you need winter tyres to get to Kurosawa onsen. And the property is a bit higher up. we had heavy snowfall, so chains would be preferable for the driveway (but we parked 5min walk away and walked up instead). The highway to get to kurokawa onsen was closed unless you have winter tyres or chains. So it is necessary

Of all the airbnbs I have stayed over the years, this was probably my nicest experience to date. The site the property is located on is stunning. The house itself is traditional yet high end and tastefully decorated. I have never seen such a large wooden bath tub! The experienced available at the property are one of a kind: a peek into authentic Japanese culture. We did Kyudo and Taiko - both were very memorable in different ways. To top of off, the service provided was so accomodating, relaxed, and thorough. We didn't drive there, so were dropped at different restaurabts in the evenings. Transport options to the property were provided, and they even helped to book an onward taxi. Don't miss this place if you are visiting Kyushu.

Travel with friends. The room is very cozy. The owner should be a very lover of life. There is a message book in the room. It is very interesting to see people who look at the five lakes and four seas. It is very interesting. There is a large balcony suitable for drinking and chatting at night. It is very close to the bus stop. The surrounding environment is also very nice and suitable for walking. Some shortcomings are that the stairs upstairs are steep. The curtain in the room is not very light. In short, it is very good comment.

It is a 160-year-old traditional Japanese building. Like a thatched-roof house in Korea, the roof is made of tree bark and thatch, so you can feel the unique Japanese architecture and housing. The interior is very spacious, and the dirt-floored kitchen is a space that gives a unique feeling to the indoor and outdoor. The bathroom and other amenities are also very clean and nice. It was the best place to feel Japanese.

It was a very nice place to stay! They cooled glasses in the freezer, there were plenty of dishes, and the scenery was very beautiful, so we had a lovely time. Thank you. I'd love to stay again if I get the chance!

This is a fabulous luxury stay. The space has been outfitted with the highest attention to detail. The experience is marvellous - Victoria can take you on a tour of the temple and give a bit of her husband’s family history. It was a little tricky to find initially (buy putting the temple in as the destination put us on the right track) and Victoria was in constant communication. It is within very close proximity to the Takachiho Gorge and a wealth of natural beauty. If you just want to chill the area is rural and very peaceful. We had the first night to ourselves and then shared with a very respectful group from Taiwan. Can thoroughly recommend.

This is my 1st time booking a Japanese airbnb, have to submit Passport details for all the guests which was a first for me. A few steps required to go through to complete the booking, Other than that the place was spotless, convenient to park the car at the place itself which was a bonus. The challenge is the room is on the 2nd floor and you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Not for elderly or those with kids. Thank you
