The place is as advertised and more. Those who've been to Kisumu know how hot and uncomfortable the nights can be. Not Raj's place. The place was cool during the day and at night. No mosquitoes to complain about regardless of the close proximity to the lake. Raj was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back on my next trips to Kisumu. A true gem

Getting there was quite tricky as the dirt road leading to the location was in a very bad state after all the recent rains. But super friendly staff member came on a motorbike to meet us and guide the rest of the way. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed, like doing the laundry for example. Highly recommend staying here!

I had a wonderful stay in this place. I could walk anywhere that I wanted to go in Kisumu and appreciated having reliable internet, a fan and refrigerator to keep cool, and a comfortable bed. Elizabeth was a very gracious host and I appreciated everything that she did for me to ensure that I had a great stay.

Thesha Hotel in the Bright Light district was way more than we ever expected. Such great service and hospitality. We had five of us and we rented the 3 bedroom apartment. Each room had its own bathroom with shower. All the beds had mosquito nets. The windows had screens. There was a nice balcony. The breakfast every morning was fried egg, sausage, and some different starch. Always cooked fresh for you and delivered with hot tea. It was easy to get a Boda Boda or tuk tuk at the road and was real close to the airport. Overall great stay and would hands down stay they any other time I go to Kisumu.

Great service, great communication, great hostess, and great location.

I was happy with my stay and the receptionist was really kind and checked on me every day. My room was clean but for sure is a normal standard room so dont expect a fancy place (toilet dived from my bed with a curtain). Next day she asked me if i wanted a bigger room for same price but I kept it because it was really clean. It was 15/20 mins from the city centre but around is full of tuk tuks (around 70 ksh) and boda boda (around 100-150 ksh). Near a supermarket and some shops. I reserved it late and they where super efficient. Highly recommended. Thank you

Twiga gets my highest recommendation, if you are visiting Kisumu as a lone traveller or with family and friends then Twiga is the perfect place to stay. Linda is a marvellous host, very knowledgeable and willing to assist with a quick response time to any questions. The rooms are very spacious and sparkling clean. There is food available all day. The location is great. There is a shop at the end of the road and you are just a short walk into the town centre. Twiga Staff, from the front desk to the kitchen, are extremely friendly and professional. I’ll definitely be back again.
