Waterfront vacation rentals in Kingsbridge Estuary

We stayed in apartment 38 for a week in July 2021. It exceeded my expectations and the pictures do not do it justice (the pictures make it look a bit dated but it really isn’t). It is a lovely 3 bed apartment - very clean throughout. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor and the stairs lead up to the living area and kitchen! The kitchen comes with a fridge, dishwasher, cooker and oven. You also get all your basic cooking utensils and dishes alongside cleaning products including dishwasher tablets. One thing I would suggest is taking some tupperware to store your food in or if you want to make a picnic. The description also stated they provided cooking oil - but there wasn’t any - so it’s worth taking some if you want to make a full english in the morning. We ordered a Tesco online shop which was delivered straight to the apartment without any problems. Note, the pools (indoor and outdoor) are not heated so can be quite cold. The indoor pool area is a bit tired looking with the paint peeling off the floor - but the kids still had a fab time. The gym is also well equipped with weight and cardio machines…but again some of the padding on the machines are a bit worn. Overall we had a fab time, the views are amazing. Meadfoot beach is literally on the doorstep and the town is only a 15min walk away. Paignton beach (10min drive) is great for the kids if you want a bit more hustle and bustle i.e. Pier with arcades and fairground. Also recommend The Inn on the Green for lovely pub grub - they are directly opposite the Paignton pier and the staff were fab too.

We really enjoyed our short break staying in Seascape. The shops were right on our doorstep or we could do a quieter walk to the castle or Kingswear. The view from the lounge window was magnificent with plenty to see. The apartment was very comfortable and well equiped. Thankyou for having us - we had a lovely time.

Dawn & Richard were fantastic hosts. The accommodation was fantastic and spotless. Bed was very comfortable with great blinds to block out the light and the bathroom was lovely and clean. Couldn’t fault anything would definitely return.

We booked a fairly last minute week for a family trip and we’re so glad we did!! The apartment was brilliantly situated and absolutely perfect for a family trip. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could want and everything was pristine clean. The hosts were so responsive and easy to contact and helped us with a few questions we had. Would absolutely recommend and can’t wait to book again soon.

This was a first class stay. The studio was spotless, comfy and well-equipped. There was a lovely extra touch of home made chocolates on arrival. The host was very helpful, friendly and unobtrusive. Recommend!

Cannot fault this place and if this is the area you wish to visit, this is the place to stay. The loft is spotless with ample room and a lovely sunrise over the lake across the road is not to be missed. Jen is a terrific host and extremely friendly and approachable. She is proactive in the communication and offers extremely helpful advice on directions and things to do in the area. I will be looking to go back to the area again later this summer and will certainly be looking to stay with Jen again!

This was your second stay in this lovely apartment. It's cozy, well decorated and furnished with excellent towels & linen. But it's all about the views. We booked knowing that it would almost certainly be a rainy week in March but we didn't mind as we'd happily potter about inside taking in the vista if so. As it turned out it was glorious and we got to explore the gorgeous surroundings more than we thought. We'll definitely be back, just hope it's available when we book! Thanks Freya.

Lovely flat overlooking the sea. Just as described. Elegant and full of all the things you’d need. Right on the beach and very quiet given we stayed Friday and Saturday night.

Wonderful location and comfortable, well designed home. A little village out on its own with so much character and some great walks which are medium hard but good distances either way - to the left in the next village the Cricket Inn is delicious food and friendly staff - to the right a lighthouse. The views and beach really make this place… as well as being a close drive to Salcombe and Dartmouth. The house being is well stocked, stylish and comfortable so makes for easy living. We were a family of 7 and a dog and would highly recommend it. We did a Sainsbury’s food delivery to the house twice to make getting groceries easy and that worked perfectly too.

I cannot begin to describe how lovely our stay was. Tristan is the most amazing host we have ever had at an AirBnb. He was responsive to questions, helpful, caring, and just so sweet. He even helped us back our giant rental van into the garage when we arrived. We had a perfect welcome basket upon our arrival and staples left for us in the fridge, so we had everything we needed for a delicious breakfast the next day. The house itself is even nicer than pictures show. It’s beautiful, modern, and clean. The beds were very comfortable, and having three full bathrooms and an additional half bathroom was amazing, especially for a party of 6 people. The location was perfect, the ocean views were gorgeous, and the home was so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave. Any time we visit Lyme Regis in the future, we will always stay here!

Stayed for around 4 nights and had an absolutely wonderful winter holidays together with my young family. The house is stunning the interior design is lovely and and the views are heavenly. Log fire with plenty of fuel was a big hit! pool and hotub a once a day at least activity for the kids especially during bank holidays. The fully stocked playroom was perfect for our young children. Really captured some great memories together with our family in this peaceful location and setting and came away wanting more!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The host went above and beyond, communicating quickly and making everything effortless. The house is stunning—beautifully decorated, incredibly homely, and so spacious. With 15 of us, including children, there was plenty of room for everyone to relax. The huge dining table was perfect for group meals, and the kitchen had everything we needed—loads of crockery, cutlery, and top-quality appliances. The beds were super comfortable, the showers worked perfectly, and every detail was well thought out. The location was spot-on, and nothing was scrimped on. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay—highly recommend!

Just got back from a lovely impromptu weekend in Looe with my 2 children age 5 & 8. We found it really easily thanks to great instructions and arrived to find the cottage warm, cosy and welcoming. The location is just perfect, in a quiet area and we couldn’t stop looking out of the window at the beautiful view of the river. It’s a pleasant 10 minute walk to the main centre of town where there were so many things to see and do. The shop across the road was really handy, and parking was always easy on the quayside. We will definitely be back as soon as we can!

The Dragon’s Nest is a great house in a central location in Brixham. Plenty of local amenities and recommendations from the host. The house is set over several floors so was ideal for us as a 3 generation family staying. Plenty of cutlery and crockery for children and a high chair available. Well stocked kitchen including salt/pepper/oil. Lynn was really quick to reply to any message I sent her, and kindly arranged early check in and late check out for us. She also kindly allowed us a shorter stay than they would otherwise have agreed to over the Easter holiday period. We had a fantastic stay. Thank you.

We spent the weekend here and had very lucky weather which made the whole “seaside view” worth the experience. Great spot with the Lake behind and sea at the front… ideal for watching the sun set and rise. Great walks with the kids and dog. All recommended in the manual. The house was spacious and perfect for what we needed. Local cafe and pub also great food and local produce. Would come back again for sure.

We had a great short break away. The apartment was clean, comfortable and exactly as described. It is in a great location and would very much recommend others to visit this gem of a place.

My friends and I visited Helena’s place and it was just perfect! It was clean and she had a lovely hamper for us that we all enjoyed. The location was perfect and extremely walkable to the city. It rained for an entire afternoon on our stay but we chose to stay in and there were so many options of movies, games and books that kept us entertained. I would definitely come back :))

Matthew was a fantastic host, extremely prompt with his reply clear instructions and plenty of recommendations. the apartment was better than the pictures. beautifully decorated, with so much space. Location is in the heart of the town so perfect for a seaseaside break in a Teignmouth. We will definitely be booking again!

We have stayed in Karen’s flat before. It is conveniently situated just around the corner from Preston Sands so is a quieter location but an easy, level walk to the sea. The private parking is a bonus at busy times and is reasonably spacious and easy to access. The flat was super clean and comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Shops and takeaways all within easy walking distance too. Certainly hope to stay again and this is now the first place we check for availability when visiting our friends in the area.

This is the 7th time we have stayed in Looe using AirBnB, being a bit of a "busman's holiday" for us coming from another Cornish holiday village and Gemma's place was in an ideal location, very close to a carpark in between two great fresh bakeries for breakfast bread and cakes . The apartment was clean and fully equipped with all you would need and great WiFi and TV / streaming services - It also has a great view. Would totally recommend staying there

Fantastic place, had everything we needed. The host made the apartment very welcoming and very clear instructions easy to follow. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Rebecca 's place felt just like our home. Everything was exactly the same as described in the images. The apartment is neat and tidy; all amenities are functioning properly. The ambience was calm and quiet. Becki was indeed a kind, responsive and friendly host. The place is worth for its price, stay and amenities Nevertheless, I found it hard for the grocery shops which is almost 0.5- 1.0 miles away. Overall, it was great and lovely stay at Rebecca' s place.

Stayed here over the New Year period and it was perfect. Great location, the sea view was spectacular and the log burner was a great addition given the cold weather. Local pubs were so friendly and food was great. Will definitely return, thank you.
