We came with three kids and were a bit nervous about being off the beaten path — but this place turned out to be a gem. The garden is like a wonderland, the house is well-equipped (we cooked pancakes in the morning!), and everyone — especially Arali and Brenda the caretakers — made sure we were safe and comfortable. The rooms are charmingly rustic, though you should know that there’s no hot water on demand. You can ask for it to be heated, but we actually ended up enjoying the cool morning rinse — it woke us up better than coffee. :) There’s currently no direct way to reach the lake, which was a small letdown for our kids. But with all the other experiences — the theatre night with Rayka, the drumming, the monkeys — they didn’t even remember this by the end! Its a very unique place - go check it out!

Gorgeous getaway with very friendly ans helpful staff. We loved the views and how remote it felt! The only issue we encountered was the inaccessibility of the property after rain. However, the staff was very caring and helpful, offering a quick resolution.

What a beautiful place this is? Breathtaking! A wooden lodge with stunning views of the crater lake! Rayka and Brenda are very helpful to make delicious breakfast and give advice to suggest fun activities and nice restaurants! If you love adventure, this is the place for sure!

The Dream Experience Lodge - Support an Orphanage

It was easy to go to Queen Elisabeth National Park from there. The host can help you arrange the trip there. There was hot and running water. The Wi-Fi works well. There are smaller shops nearby and the town Kasese nearby has everything you need (restaurants, supermarkets) and the town can be reached in about 10 minutes by Boda boda or car. The host is very nice and you may also join him to see the orphanage. Only downsides: it is a little bit dark inside (but you won't stay there much anyways because there is enaugh to do in the surroundings) and you should try to keep moskitos outside at night by not turning on the light and leaving the door open at the same time 🤗 We had a great stay and would come again.

The host also kindly accommodated our special request, which made our visit even more memorable. I can’t wait to come back!

BLT Residence - Kasese A serene and tranquil home

BLT residence is a lovely place, and there are many reasons to want to stay there again. I spent three nights there, in the beautiful home set in the foothills of Mount Rwenzori, with my wife and three young sons. The boys immediately felt at home, running through the landscaped garden and, later, asking if we could stay longer. The place is looked after by a kind caretaker who was very responsive and answered our questions or helped us get things we needed to buy from a nearby shop. Della herself was very responsive from the beginning. The home is located near Rwenzori Founders, a world-famous art center and sculpture gallery. I strongly recommend this property to travelers visiting the Rwenzori region, especially to those traveling as a small group. There is no home in Kasese that’s more tranquil — and more affordable — than BLT residence.

Lovely hosts very helpful and responsive …ordered transport for me from the National Park to their farm. The food was delicious .. local food mostly vegan (fresh eggs from the farm only exception) and a very beautiful spot up on the hill overlooking Kibale. And a great value for the price. I highly recommend this place. 😊
