My teenage daughter and I stayed two nights at the farm. The setting is beautiful. The cabin was spotless. Shane is so friendly and welcoming. He may us when we arrived - an AirBnB first for me. We were too tired to join the fun at the campfire, but would love to do that next time. We would absolutely stay again.

We felt highly welcome. Vanessa answered a question within minutes and helped out. She asked us if we need anything from the supermarket ( is 45 min. away). Well equipped apartment. Silence. Beach nearly just for us. Perfect. 😀

What an absolute gem! The Tinbox is tucked away in the forest, with outdoor bath, hammock, comfy bed, gorgeous kitchen and bathroom. We spent hours listening to the birds, stargazing, sitting by the fire....We loved every moment we spent there. Joanna is an incredible host who genuine cares about her guest. I am already looking at my calendar to see when I can book in another getaway here.

This was the perfect place for our family reunion of 14 people including kids to stay. The property has a great space in the kitchen, dining and living area to hang out and beautiful comfortable rooms for all of us. It was stunning to wake up to a view of the ocean each morning. Having the 2 large fridges between the butler pantry and kitchen was extremely helpful. Plus the sleepout is a great additional space to use too. We loved being able to easily walk to the beach and explore the rock pools, some of us even braving the ocean coolness to swim. Alan was a great host, always responsive and helpful, thank you! We loved it there.

Absolutely stunning! Would love to stay again. Leah and Jan were very prompt at replying and very flexible with our arrival as we chopped and changed our plans last minute. Google maps takes you right to the driveway and we had no problems driving up the gravel hill in a Hyundai i30. This place is GORGEOUS. The view from the cottage and the BBQ area is amazing. We had a full moon and sat out on the deck watching the moon, and listening to lots of kiwi’s nearby! During the day we sat and read our books in the sun. We also loved the bath and the pizza oven. They’ve thought of everything and pay a lot of attention to detail. I was impressed that not even the outdoor areas had any spider webs - so clean and tidy! The bed was very comfy and we had a wonderful sleep each night. Serene!

We stayed in Michael's Cabin for 3 nights, unfortunately perfectly in time for an orange weather warning. We weren't able to do as much as we had hoped, but we can confirm the cabin is very sturdy and does not budge in even the strongest gales 😋 The cabin has everything you need and there is an outside cabin for bathroom and toilet. It's directly at the beach and the views from the cabin are really beautiful. Mike and Mark were great hosts and very generous. And if course Buddy the dog was a highlight of our stay.

We had such a wonderful stay here. It’s in a gated community and we always felt safe. Hamish was very accommodating and did a great job of making our holiday as seamless as possible. We loved the pool, spa, trampoline and basketball hoop. Everything about the house is well thought out (and beautiful). The airbnb is in a private and peaceful area, and a 10min drive from the town centre. It felt luxurious staying here and it was definitely the relaxing holiday we were hoping for!

We booked Diane's beautiful cabin for our familyfriends from overseas that came to stay up north for our wedding. The cabin was only 5 minutes from our place which made it very convenient as they we're new to Whangarei. Diane is very communicative and greeted our guests on their arrival. They only had good things to say about their stay and they really enjoyed the clean and tidy cabin and of course the lovely peaceful surroundings of nature around as well. We had a fantastic and relaxing stay at Dee's place, all the amenities were provided and the place itself is bigger and more spacious than what appears in the photos. Although I didn't meet Dee, she was very responsive and accommodating, setting up an extra bed for the last minute addition to our group. We appreciated the quiet and bucolic setting and we would absolutely stay here again!

If you love nature, this is the place for you! We liked our stay in the cabin so much that we extented it. We enjoyed the stunning views into the bay from the garden, picknick down at the jetty at the waterfront, self-cooked dinner in the cosy kitchen, pink sky sunsets. Most of all we enjoyed the absolute privacy out in eagle height. Alex was a delightful host who gave us great recommandations for beautiful beaches nearby.

Russell is an INCREDABLE place . Spectacular. We sat on Main Street for hours . Loved it so much we stayed another night. Kiwis on the property!!!! Shane was a ripper bloke . Could not have been nicer . His local knowledge was Olympic class. I could have slept on a rock and would have loved the Russell experience. Beautiful harbour.

My mum and I had a wonderful stay in Haruru. Delphine, Guillaume and their daughter Toscane welcomed us very warmly. The cabin is very cute, spotless clean and perfect for 2. Great kitchen and bathroom with everything you might need. Delphine has plenty of recommendations of what's not to miss in the area. We had a lovely time with them and highly recommend this place.
