Asuka no Mahoroba is a renovated farmhouse built in the Edo period. The separate building was revived as "Mahoro-no-Yado". While retaining the old charm, we renovated it using Yoshino cedar and cypress to make it a relaxing place to stay. One private rental limited to one group per day. Feel free to spend time with anyone. With your partner, family, and group! Of course, solo guests are also welcome. This is a detached single-story house with a private entrance at the back of the garden. It is located in Asukamura Kawahara, the center of the "Asuka" region where Yamato Takeru praised its beauty. Nearby, there are many attractions such as "Kohokuji Temple", where the first sutra was copied in Japan, "Tachibana Temple", the birthplace of Shotoku Taishi, and "Amakashi Hill", which overlooks Asuka Village and the Yamato Sanzan. Nishimura Residence is a traditional Nara machiya (townhouse) over 110 years old.I renovated “Grandma’s place,” where I spent a long period of my childhood, and opened it as an inn in 2019.Since the Nara machiya has been preserved in its original state, there are many inconveniences, and it is not a luxurious hotel where everything is provided. 　On the other hand, I think it’s the perfect place to soak up the “cozy, rustic” atmosphere that permeates Naramachi.In the hope of helping guests “reflect and rejuvenate” in an environment away from the hustle and bustle of the station, we provide books in the room and a vegetarian-style breakfast.(Almost all of the books in the room are available for purchase.) 　Please spend this evening in the tranquility of the Nishimura residence and Nara-cho, listening to the voice of your own heart.

The nearest station is Oji Station on the JR Line (18 minutes from Osaka Tennoji Station). It is about a 20-minute bus ride from Oji Station. If you are coming by train, we will pick you up at the nearest station. The last pick-up time is 7:00 PM. After that, please use the bus. There is a lovely hot spring nearby, or you can walk there. There is a barbecue facility in the garden. Convenient access to Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Koyasan, and Yoshino.
